Islamabad; 06 Aug 2021 – Managing Director of National Book Foundation & Federal Text Book Board Mazhar Hameed has been found violating the SoPs of COVID-19 suggested by the government of Pakistan. First he himself contracted Corona and concealed it from the staff and now he is taking 100 % presence at the head office Islamabad.<\/h3>\n

It has been learnt from reliable sources that MD Mr. Mazhar Hameed remained absent from the office in the month of July 2021. It was only after he got Corona positive. He did not attend his office from early July to end of July. No information was passed to any of staff why the MD is not attending his office.<\/h3>\n

The staff came to know only when he joined his duty back. Here it is worth noting that no one knows that when he actually contracted corona? Did he attended office when he had corona? More dangerous thing is that the MD has not sanitized his office till now. It was necessary to sanitize it after he got corona.<\/h3>\n

Neither his own room nor the building of the head office has been sanitized throughout the four layers of corona. The whole staff is at the risk because MD got corona during when he was attending the office and nothing has been done so far to sanitize the premises.<\/h3>\n

Further , till 06 Aug 2021, MD has not assured the implementation of Government’s directions of 50 % presence during the current wave of corona. National Command and Control Center NCOC issued directions on 02 Aug to be implemented from 03 Aug to 31 Aug for current COVID-19 situation. But MD has not implemented it till 06 Aug. 100 % staff of National Book Foundation is attending the office that can be checked from the register and biometric system.<\/h3>\n

This department is under Federal Ministry of Education and Minister is Mr. Shafqat Mehmood, close aid of Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is the state of affairs that a department head in the capital city is not abiding by the rules and regulations set by the government.<\/h3>\n

Many other complaints are pouring in against the MD for his behavior towards the staff, threatening them always of rustication without service rules, his education\/qualification, his bad words for former MDs who were mostly renown and honored scholars of their time, removing the free book cabinet from the head office that deprived the poor from having books from the foundation. \"\"<\/h3>\n

Here it is advised to all the visitors of MD who have called on him in the month of May, June 2021 , should take a test of corona as soon as possible.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
