Chairman Senate of Pakistan Mr Sadiq Sanjrani, Federal Minister Defence Production Ms Zubaida Jalaal and Convener Pak Azerbaijan Friendship Group in Senate of Pakistan Mr. Talha Mehmood, former deputy speaker National Assembly, MNA Murtaza Javed Abbasi have expressed solidarity with the martyrs of Second Karabakh War on the first commemoration day 27 Sep 2021 in a ceremony held at the residence of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Mr. Khazar Farhadov on the same day.<\/em><\/h3>\n

Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani was the chief guest who offered homage to the martyrs and their sacrifice will always be remembered. He noted that the brotherly bonds between Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey will further be strengthened into meaningful partnership in political, parliamentary and economic sectors as well.\"\"<\/h3>\n

Mr. & Mrs Khazar Nadir Oglu Farhadov <\/strong>hosted the ceremony in which the above mentioned government and parliamentary dignitaries showed their deep allegiance to Azerbaijan and the families of martyrs by attending the official commemoration in Pakistan. Ambassador of Turkey Mr. Ehsan Mustafa also graced the event with his presence.<\/h3>\n

Ambassador of Iran Mr. Mohammad Ali Hosseini also attended the event. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chairman Senate in his keynote address said that our feelings and prayers are with martyrs and their families. They sacrificed their lives for their motherland. It was great expression of patriotism in the patriotic war. He congratulated #President Ilham Aliyev<\/strong> for success in liberating the occupied regions.<\/h3>\n

“Pakistan calls upon Armenia to end her evil designs against Azerbaijan and stop terrorist acts that endanger the peace and stability in the region.Pakistan supports Azerbaijan in her efforts to liberating the occupied territories. Azerbaijan acted rightfully and won the victory over the aggressor. ” Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani noted.\"\" <\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

He appreciated Azerbaijan for her support on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He said that both nations are standing with each other shoulder by shoulder. Pakistan is proud of her relation with Azerbaijan. Both countries will continue and strengthen their cooperation in all spheres of life. We have to further strengthen this great relationship. Parliamentary friendship groups can be more activated for that. Governments and business communities can come more closer.<\/h3>\n

Chairman assured that Pakistan will extend every kind of cooperation in the reconstruction of the liberated lands of Azerbaijan.<\/h3>\n

Senate press release reads as “Chairman Senate said that Pakistan values its relations with Azerbaijan and these relations are based on common historical, cultural and religious similarities. The exemplary cooperation between the two countries shows mutual trust. In every hour of need, the two countries have stood by each other.<\/h3>\n

Paying tribute to the martyrs of Azerbaijan’s war of independence, the Senate Chairman said that the Azeri forces had shown great skill and bravery in the war of independence. Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity as per UN resolutions. Chairman Senate maintained that Azerbaijan has always supported Pakistan’s position on Kashmir issue. He assured support for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the areas liberated from Armenia.<\/h3>\n

Chairman Senate said that \u201cThe two countries are committed to further enhancing multilateral cooperation in trade, energy, climate change and other fields. Azerbaijan and Pakistan have always supported each other’s position at all international forums and will continue to do so in the future as well. This ideal cooperation will continue\u201d. The Chairman Senate further added that \u201cThere is an atmosphere of brotherhood among the public of both the countries. Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey through a joint strategy are playing a positive role for peace and development in the region. Chairman Senate expressed his best wishes to the government, parliament, people and political leadership of Azerbaijan.<\/h3>\n

Chairman Senate was accompanied by Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Senator Dr. Zarqa Taimoor Suharwardy, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada and Senator Hidayat Ullah.<\/h3>\n

Turkey has always been a brotherly country to Azerbaijan that supports Azerbaijan in regional and international fora.<\/h3>\n

Ambassador of Turkey Mr Ehsan Mustafa<\/strong> expressed his views at this occasion. He said that ” They looked towards world community for justice for three decades. The people of occupied territories were in trouble under the suppressive Armenian forces. Then they (Azerbaijan)took decision and implemented the resolutions of UNO by themselves. It was quite unjustified that 20 % of Azerbaijani territories remain in occupation for 30 long years. That is why Azerbaijan took stand and made clear that such designs are not acceptable in this region. It was right decision.<\/h3>\n

The host , Mr. Khazar Farhadov<\/strong> shared that one year ago Armenia again attacked on Azerbaijan. We had to take necessary steps for the safety of our citizens. This was our patriotic war that our armed forces fought with the support of our citizens and under the command of our President. Azerbaijan restored international justice. It was historic development. It was new reality and new era started with our victory over the occupant and aggressor.<\/h3>\n

“Azerbaijan moved in accordance with UN resolutions and international conventions. One million of population of Azerbaijan were separated from the homeland. We connected them with their brothers and sisters.” He continued.\"\" <\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Ambassador noted that Armenia committed war crimes and remained involved in terrorist activities. Armenia fixed more than one hundred thousand mines even in civilian territories. They destroyed our historical, religious and cultural heritage. It was in total violation of international law. We informed UN, EU and other international fora.<\/h3>\n

“There is no Nagorno-Karabakh now on. It is Karabakh only. The liberated territories will be developed and constructed again. The displaced families will get their homes.” He concluded.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Young diplomat Mr Elchin Mehdiyev conducted the ceremony. National anthems of both countries were played followed by one minute silence in the honor of the martyrs of second Karabakh War. A booklet on the details of the war and liberated territories was distributed among the guests for their knowledge and information.\"\"<\/h3>\n

Other notable guest were ; Dean of diplomatic corps Islamabad Mr Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mr. Arif Usmanov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Ulanbek Totuiave, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Tajikistan Mr Ismatullo Nasredin, Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Markiian Chuchuk. Ambassador of Belarus Mr Andrei Metelitsa. President Islamabad Stock Exchange Mr Zahid Lateef. Former Ambassador Pakistan to Azerbaijan Mr. Saeed Khan Mohmand.<\/h3>\n

Last but not the least, National Logistic Cell of Pakistan was represented here by Mr. Aamir Malik, Senior Manager Operations (Log).<\/strong> Here it is worth mentioning that Pakistan has sent first consignment of trade goods by trucks to Azerbaijan through Iran and Turkey. It is the first land connectivity between the two countries after centuries. In old times, the traders used to travel between Baku and Multan. Its historic symbol is “Multan Sirai” located in old city of Baku.<\/h3>\n

Later in the evening . Pakistan Monument in Shakkar Pariyaan Islamabad tourist resort was illuminated with the colors of Azerbaijan to pay homage to the martyrs of Second Karabakh War.<\/h3>\n
