\"\"Islamabad; 09 Nov 2021 – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday announced \u2018complete ceasefire\u2019 with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), after\u00a0 negotiations. <\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cUnder an agreement, the Government of Pakistan and banned Tehreek-i-Taliban [Pakistan] have agreed upon complete ceasefire,\u201d the minister told the media while referring to the interview of Prime Minister Imran Khan with a foreign Television in which he had hinted at these negotiations. <\/span><\/div>\n
He said the negotiations with TTP were underway and would be carried out in accordance with the Constitution and law of the land. \u201cObviously, no government can hold such negotiation which contravenes the Constitution and law of Pakistan.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
In those negotiations, writ of the state, national security, peace of relevant areas and socio-economic stability would definitely be taken into account. <\/span><\/div>\n
The minister said persons, affected due to TTP in different areas, would not be ignored during the negotiations. Therefore, they were also being taken into confidence, he added.<\/span><\/div>\n
He said ceasefire would be extendable, keeping in view the progress of negotiations. Authorities of Afghanistan\u2019s interim government did play role of a facilitator in those talks, he added. <\/span><\/div>\n
Fawad said certainly, it was welcoming to note that after a hiatus, complete peace would eventually return to those areas which had been affected due to TTP.<\/span><\/div>\n
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib on Tuesday said that ceasefire with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) would help resolve issues. Timeline has been given to TTP for further progress and all the political parties would be taken on board to debate on the matter in the parliament, he said while talking to a private television channel. <\/span><\/div>\n
Appreciating the role of Pakistan Army for fighting war on terror, he said “We could not forget the sacrifices of the jawans and officers of Pakistan Army for maintaining peace in the country.” <\/span><\/div>\n
