\"\"Islamabad: Ambassador of Yemen Republic, H.E Mohammed Motahar Alashabi has said that an anti-Arab regional power and its agents in the region are supporting Houthis with smuggled missiles parts and technology, military experts and weapons . Houthis are not for Peace but for terrorism only. They do not have pity on women and children even. Their supporter should understand, that We are Arab , situated in Arab region and cannot be part of sectarian axis or a threat to our own region.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Ambassador was addressing to the participants of a Forum organized at Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) in collaboration with “Pakistan in the World” International website. Chairperson COPAIR Ms Amna Malik and Journalist Tazeen Akhtar also spoke on bilateral and regional affairs with focus on Yemen.<\/h4>\n

Ambassador spoke very highly about Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is just like home. Pakistanis love Yemen. Many Pakistanis were working in Yemen when crisis erupted. They are always keen to return to Yemen. People of both countries have close relations but they can not meet due to the situation in Yemen.<\/h4>\n

“Pakistan is a country of diversity. The geography and culture is unique. Our hearts beat together. We understand each other. Both countries have same stance on regional and international issue. We support each other at all fora.” Ambassador shared.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Mr. Alashabi shed light on back ground of crisis in his country. He said that sectarianism is the tool to to destabilize any country in the world. Houthis were raised gradually gradually after 1990 in our country exposed themselves militarily and challenge the government since 2003. They advanced gradually towards the capital Sanaa since 2011 and broke in to it in Sept 2014 to create instability in the country and the region. They were absorbed as a party in the consensus national government and party of the National Comprehensive Dialogue in 2012. They unleashed terrorism in Sep 2014, as an expression of rejection to dialogue, peace and living equally with Yemenis.<\/h4>\n

The legitimate Government offered them and tried peace with them many times by inviting them for dialogue in Geneva, Beira\/ Mozambique, Kuwait and Stockholm\/ Sweden. They polluted every effort every time because they think they are superior to Yemenis and have the Divine right to rule Yemen, besides assisting their supporter in destabilizing the region for their sectarian agendas, regrettably.<\/h4>\n

“Houthis hinder food and medicine follow to the needy, to create a famine as a source to invest on Yemenis’ suffers and agony . Uncounted consignments expire and do not reach the people who are dying with hunger and diseases in hodeidah and other areas under their control. They attack on internally displaced people’s camps.”<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

“Their inhuman practices diversified between forced and arbitrary arrest, kidnapping, blowing up masjids and Madrasas, use people as human shields, using civilian institutions for their military purposes, making the women hostage and molest them in custody, according to NGOs and international reports and imposing huge taxes on people while refraining of paying salaries to public servants in the areas under their control.”<\/h4>\n

“Houthis planted and still planting different types of land mines that are killing innocent people. Mines are the main killers in Yemen.”<\/h4>\n

To a question about missile attacks on Saudi Arabia and UAE, the Ambassador replied that the Houthis and their supporter’s intensions are extensive. They want to extend the conflict to other countries for their negative interests.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Ambassador said that government forces do not have counter missiles in Ma’arab region. That is the reason behind Houthis’ succeed in massive attacks on civilian live hoods, IDPs camps and government installations .<\/h4>\n

“Stories of the crimes of Houthis are horrific but media are not allowed to cover their crimes and bring the details before the world. Houthis neither are sincere in dialogue not they want to live in peace with us. They do not believe in coexistence and tolerance like other exclusive militants and terrorist groups,” H.E concluded.<\/h4>\n
