\"\"Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Russia is welcome as long as bilateral cooperation is concerned but question is that how can you keep it in between the two countries when there is another conflict emerging on the borders of Russia and Europe with continued aggression by Russia against Ukraine?<\/h4>\n

How long you can keep away from large scale escalation that can lead towards 3rd World War?<\/h4>\n

Remaining neutral is one thing but how can you state on record that “Pakistan has nothing to do with Ukraine crisis – Ukraine is very far – There is no messaging between Ukraine and Pakistan”? The President of Pakistan said in a recent interview.<\/h4>\n

And what to do when one can note the difference between civil and military of Pakistan on the ongoing conflict of above mentioned issue in eastern Europe?<\/h4>\n

Simply, Government of Pakistan failed to prepare a proper policy on Russia-Ukraine and focusing on building relations with Russia on the price of cooperation with Ukraine that has always been trustworthy while relations with Russia(USSR) have always been like carrot and stick, mostly stick and rarely carrot. History can not be changed and no one can contradict this reality.<\/h4>\n

1- Russian Federation the only heir of USSR has always stood with India, extending full cooperation in military and diplomacy both. Russia is the biggest weapons supplier to India.<\/h4>\n

2- Russia is responsible for promotion of proxy and terrorism in Pakistan. There was nothing like that before the Russian aggression on Afghanistan in 1979.<\/h4>\n

3- Russia vetoed every effort on Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir in UNSC in the past.<\/h4>\n

4- Mr. Putin is the Persona non Grata in Europe, Americas and most of the world due to his expansionist designs against the small neighboring countries.<\/h4>\n

5- Mr. Putin has always preferred India in south Asia as ally and partner.<\/h4>\n

6- Mr. Putin was, once, about to visit Pakistan but cancelled the visit on the behest of India that created embarrassment for Pakistan at world level. We remember Prime Minister Gilani and the cabinet boycotted the Russian national day celebration at that time in reaction to the cancellation of the visit.<\/h4>\n

7- Russia announced to construct south north gas pipeline in Pakistan many years ago but there are no signs of it implementation proving the non seriousness accompanied with no interest.<\/h4>\n

The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi was so confident in his remarks in reply to a question about the connection of PM’s visit to Russia with Ukraine. He stated above mentioned sentences that clearly express that the President is not fully aware of Pakistan -Ukraine Relations. That is one thing. Can a President state like that about a country even if he does not know enough about the status of relations?<\/h4>\n

Russian bombs may not be so harmful for Ukraine as were the remarks of the President of Pakistan for our relations with Ukraine.<\/h4>\n

A commoner knows very well that Ukraine has become a major supplier of defense equipment and technology to Pakistan in last few years. Recently when Pakistan was short of wheat, Ukraine was the first to export wheat to Pakistan. Hundreds of Pakistani students are studying in Ukraine. Ukraine and Pakistan developed Al-Khalid Tank that has no match in the south Asian region.<\/h4>\n

Prime Minister’s visit and few days ago the remarks of the President are enough for a friendly country like Ukraine to be concerned. Same message has been sent to European countries that are trying their best to avert a full scale war imposed by Russia.<\/h4>\n

Russia, first occupied Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine illegally, violating all international pledges including Minsk Agreement and now only one day before Pakistani PM will be in Moscow, has acknowledged two states of Ukraine as Independent Countries without any justification.\"\"<\/h4>\n

This state of affairs in Pakistan needed a balance approach. As the bilateral cooperation and trade between Ukraine and Pakistan mostly consists of defense and defense production sector, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyiv called on Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Ms Amine Dzheppar in her office on 21 Feb 2022 and expressed solidarity with the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. 21 Feb is the day when Russia announced to acknowledge Donetsk and Luhansk as so called independent states.<\/h4>\n

Details of this meeting have not been shared but it is said that one picture is equal to thousand words. Same day meeting of Pakistani Ambassador with high official of Ukraine government tells the headline of the story at least. Here another thing to note is that the Pakistani Ambassador in Ukraine is representative of Pakistan Military. The rest all can be apprehended by a commoner even not by the high officials of government of Pakistan.<\/h4>\n
