They interpret own aggression as &#8220;protection of the Russian population&#8221;, claiming that &#8220;had we not attacked first, they would have attacked us.<\/h4>\n<h4>&#8221; This is a convenient format for legitimizing the next acts of aggression against sovereign nations, in particular those that are part of EU and NATO, which are now actually portrayed by Russia as adversaries.<\/h4>\n<h4>Russia has already faced grave problems in the economy as a result of massive sanctions. Narratives broadcast to the domestic audience claim that \u201cthere\u2019s no big problem\u201d, \u201cwe have sufficient stocks\u201d, \u201cwe will switch to self-sufficiency\u201d.<\/h4>\n<h4>Certain consequences of western sanctions that simply can\u2019t be concealed from the public will be interpreted as &#8220;genocide of Russians by the West.&#8221;<\/h4>\n<h4>&#8220;Only the West is to blame for this war.&#8221; The narrative is as follows: \u201cHad it not been for Belgrade and Iraq, there would have been no Syria and then no Ukraine.\u201d This is an attempt to shift responsibility to the West through its allegedly unfriendly actions towards Russia, which has nowhere to retreat.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u201cThis war has to do with every Russian, whose sacred duty is to rise up to fight the \u201cfascist West.\u201d The Kremlin pursues its efforts to form a conflict-driven consciousness in Russian society, postulating the West and all who stand with it as Russia\u2019s enemies, laying down the message: &#8220;There is nowhere to retreat, Moscow is behind us.&#8221;<\/h4>\n<h4>Russia interprets the war with Ukraine as a &#8220;holy war&#8221; for the Russian people, &#8220;the salvation of Russia and its greatness&#8221; \u2013 the formation of a new totalitarian ideology of the 21st century, a new marginal paraphernalia. Z is a new symbol that unites all &#8220;right kind&#8221; of Russians.<\/h4>\n<h4>There\u2019s substitution of concepts:<\/h4>\n<h4>Russian now means &#8220;ethnic Russian&#8221;.
