Ambassador Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin has said that bilateral relations are flourishing with the passage of time. We attach great importance to our ties with Pakistan. Both countries are working upon building direct communication links to turn cordial political bonds into meaningful economic and trade cooperation. The Ambassador was addressing the participants of iftar dinner hosted by him for media persons at Serena Islamabad 16 Apr 2022.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Kistafin was optimistic to mature the efforts of starting business contacts and conferences between the two sides in a regular mode to enhance the level of trade.<\/h4>\n

” Direct flights and easy visa regime are per-requisite for taking the cooperation to upward trajectory. We are working on how to start the flights and we are looking forward to maturing this move as early as possible.” Ambassador noted.<\/h4>\n

” Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Council will be established soon. The business community can directly approach to the Embassy for visa. We have not appointed any travel agents to receive visa applications.Businessmen should avoid the agents to remain safe from cheating like spending double triple amount to get visa. Our Fee for visa is 80 Dollars.”<\/h4>\n

To a question by Tazeen Akhtar Editor that it is about business community only. What about common public like tourists, students etc?<\/h4>\n

Ambassador replied, ” We are planning to appoint honorary consuls in all provincial capitals of Pakistan. They will be empowered to look into the visa affairs there for general public. This will not only facilitate the people of Pakistan at their respective near places but will smooth and make transparent the whole process as well.”<\/h4>\n

Regarding direct money payments , The Ambassador noted that ” National Bank of Pakistan has a branch in Nur Sultan but still problem exists in money transfers and payments here and there. We are in touch with Pakistani authorities in this regard and we hope the matter will be solved soon.”<\/h4>\n
