Four diaspora partners concluded four new Memoranda of Understanding with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) valued at $44 million \u2013 increasing total diaspora commitments to nearly $200 million.<\/strong> <\/span><\/h5>\n
New investment commitments include:<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\u00b7 SERVINZ Limited: $5 million for restoring livelihoods in flood-affected areas;
\n\u00b7 Pakfoods LLC Group & NUST – $9 million for technology;
\n\u00b7 Jaxeri Investment Corporation – $25 million for electric vehicle local manufacturing; and,
\n\u00b7 Global Semiconductors Group – $5 million for training youth in semiconductor and chip design technology.<\/h5>\n
\"\"Addressing the participants at the closing ceremony, U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome highlighted the valuable contributions of the U.S.-Pakistani diaspora.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\u201cI want to congratulate our four diaspora partners, SERVINZ Limited, Pakfoods LLC Group, Jaxeri Investment Corporation, and Global Semiconductors Group, for signing these MOUs. You are helping unlock Pakistan\u2019s investment potential. I look forward to seeing the benefits these partnerships will bring to the Pakistani economy and the Pakistani people,\u201d the Ambassador said.<\/h5>\n
\u201cThe three themes discussed at the conference today \u2013 Artificial Intelligence, electric vehicles, and semiconductor technology investments \u2013 are key to Pakistan\u2019s economic growth and future prosperity,\u201d he added.<\/h5>\n
The \u2018Invest in Pakistan\u2019 conference aimed to catalyze investment between U.S. investors and Pakistani companies. More than 300 participants attended, including U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome, USAID Mission Director Kate Somvongsiri, Umar Saif, Minister IT, members of the U.S.-Pakistani diaspora, and prominent Pakistani business leaders.<\/h5>\n
