He welcomed the direct flights of AZAL for Pakistan. He spoke highly about the position of Azerbaijan as a hub of connectivity.The Minister has also cherished his memories of visit to Baku in the past.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>He made these remarks while addressing the guests at a reception in connection with Victory Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Islamabad on 07 Nov 2023. Ambassador of Azerbaijan H.E Khazar Farhadov hosted the event at local hotel. Defense Attache Col Mehmon Novruslo was also present. Senator Talha Mehmood, Sitara Ayaz , senior government and military officers, diplomats, members of business community and media persons also attended the event.<\/h5>\n<h5>Ambassador Khazar Farhadov hosted the reception only a week after the visit of Chief of Army Staff Pakistan General Asim Munir to Baku on 31 Oct. Ambassador also traveled to Baku last week and returned after the high level visit was completed. COAS Pakistan called on President Ilham Aliyev. We honor with deep respect and gratitude our Martyrs who gave their precious lives for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of our country.<\/strong> <\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>Minister Solangi noted the central geographical position of Azerbaijan and shared that the country is\u00a0 central part of North-South and East-West transport corridors including the creation of the Trans-Caspian International Route and the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway communication system. This location makes Azerbaijan hub of connectivity.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>&#8220;The potential of both countries in tourism and trade can be seen in the figure of 60 Thousand tourists from Pakistan to Azerbaijan in only one year of 2022, Minister said.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>Murtaza Solangi said , &#8221; The multifaceted bilateral relations have deep roots in the history beyond the countries of modern times. The mutual ties have been expanding and deepening in recent years.During the last year bilateral trade between Pakistan and Azerbaijan had increased and was expected to multiply in the near future.<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Pakistani Minister paid homage to martyrs of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives in the defense of motherland. He appreciated the efforts of the leader of Azerbaijan who initiated major energy projects. Azerbaijan succeeded in liberating its territories that had been under Armenian occupation for more than 30 years.This great feat has been achieved under the dynamic leadership of President H.E. Ilham Aliyev who has transformed Republic of Azerbaijan into a regional hub and economic power that is recognized across the region and beyond.<\/h5>\n<h5>The minister hailed the development of infrastructure, roads, airports, hospitals, schools in newly liberated territories and return of IDPs to their homes restoring their cities that were illegally occupied by Armenia.<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>H.E Khazar Farhadov is his welcome note said Azerbaijan tried to resolve the Karabakh conflict through negotiations but Armenia always ignored it and tried to keep the status quo. At the end of the 44-day, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan liberated its territories from Armenian occupation. Azerbaijan implemented UN Security Council resolutions itself by liberating its occupied territories.<\/h5>\n<h5>\nAmbassador expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for continued support and solidarity with Azerbaijan. He said , &#8220;During the occupation and 44 days of the Patriotic War, brotherly Pakistan has always supported Azerbaijan morally and diplomatically.
