Addressing the event in his capacity as the Chair of ACI, Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mohammad Azhar Mazlan stated that the aim of the social gathering was to bring together the diplomats and families of Islamabad- based ASEAN embassies to provide them with an opportunity to touch base with one another in an informal setting.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>He believed such a gathering would bring about a sense of togetherness and belonging among the ASEAN community in Pakistan. Considering the presence of more than 200 guests including the local officials and media personnel, Amb. Azhar expressed his happiness and hoped the event would be an annual programme. <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25315\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ASEAN_Family_Thailand.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ASEAN_Family_Thailand.jpg 600w, https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ASEAN_Family_Thailand-300x103.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/h5>\n<h5>He conveyed his well wishes to those celebrating Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2024 to all present.<\/h5>\n<h5>During the event, the guests enjoyed a number of cuisines specially prepared by each ASEAN embassies, savoring the unique spices, techniques, and cultural influences of the South East Asian region.
