U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome in meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari\u00a0 highlighted the importance of the two countries\u2019 shared interests and the many opportunities to advance our shared goals, including through high level dialogues and the Green Alliance framework.<\/h5>\n
The Ambassador conveyed his condolences for the loss of Pakistani soldiers in the recent terrorist attack in Waziristan and assured the President the United States stands with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.\"\"<\/h5>\n
Ambassador in meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif<\/strong> <\/em>on 15 March 2024 discussed a broad range of bilateral issues, including partnering with the Government of Pakistan on regional security, U.S. support for continued economic reforms with and through the IMF, trade and investment, education, climate change, and private sector-led economic growth.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador Blome expressed U.S. support for Pakistan\u2019s democracy and the key role of an independent press.<\/h5>\n
The Ambassador and Prime Minister also discussed how both countries can work together to accelerate projects addressing climate change under the U.S.-Pakistan Green Alliance framework.\"\"<\/h5>\n

Ambassador attaches great importance to the economic reforms as he expressed it in Karach the other day while talking to local journalists. Ambassador said , “If Pakistan maintains a consistent commitment to economic reforms, those reforms will build certainty and confidence for investors and enable economic growth fuelled by sustainable, inclusive, and \u2026. economic development.”<\/p>\n

Ambassador discussed a wide range of bilateral issues with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar,<\/strong> <\/em>including U.S. support for economic reforms in Pakistan. They discussed regional security, the potential for growth in the trade and investment relationship, and the enduring importance of the U.S.-Pakistan Green Alliance framework.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador Blome conveyed the United States\u2019 commitment to working with the government and people of Pakistan, underscoring that prosperity and security for Pakistan remains a top priority for the United States.\"\"<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n
\u00a0Ambassador called on National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq<\/strong><\/em> on 16 March at the Parliament House.The discussion focused on bilateral relations and other matters of mutual interest. Blome congratulated Ayaz on his appointment as speaker and expressed his best wishes.Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said Pakistan gives great importance to the long-standing friendly relations with the United States.<\/h5>\n
The two acknowledged the need to further promote parliamentary relations between both countries and that these terms play a crucial role in promoting public relations.The US envoy reiterated America\u2019s commitment to continue its support for the strengthening of the democratic process in Pakistan.\"\"<\/h5>\n
