But his Mission for Peace seems to be Mission Impossible as Armenian Prime Minister hints at another war with Azerbaijan in few days on the issue of delineate the border.<\/strong> <\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>Mr Stoltenberg praised Armenia for its long-standing partnership and contributions to NATO operations, including increased troop numbers in KFOR\u2019s peacekeeping mission. \u201cFor nearly 20 years, Armenia has been a key partner in NATO\u2019s KFOR peacekeeping mission, helping to ensure a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo,\u201d he said.<\/h5>\n<h5>On stability in the South Caucasus, the Secretary General urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to reach an agreement to pave the way for the normalisation of relations and a durable peace. \u201cThis matters for Euro-Atlantic security as we face a more dangerous world,\u201d he emphasised, reiterating that \u201cNATO supports Armenian sovereignty and territorial integrity, and your peaceful aspirations.\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>The Secretary General warned that \u201cRussia\u2019s war in Ukraine is a sobering reminder that we cannot take peace for granted\u2026 If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, there is a real risk that his aggression will not stop there and other authoritarian actors will be emboldened,\u201d he said.<\/h5>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"vgatwuMWGz\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/nato-secretary-general-meets-president-ilham-emphasizes-armenia-azerbaijan-peace-agreement-asks-more-support-for-ukraine\/\">NATO Secretary General Meets President Ilham &#8211; Emphasizes Armenia &#038; Azerbaijan Peace Agreement &#8211; Asks More Support for Ukraine<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;NATO Secretary General Meets President Ilham &#8211; Emphasizes Armenia &#038; Azerbaijan Peace Agreement &#8211; Asks More Support for Ukraine&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/nato-secretary-general-meets-president-ilham-emphasizes-armenia-azerbaijan-peace-agreement-asks-more-support-for-ukraine\/embed\/#?secret=0pD2RAsf02#?secret=vgatwuMWGz\" data-secret=\"vgatwuMWGz\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5>Mr Stoltenberg called on all NATO partners to \u201cdo what they can to ensure Putin does not win his war of aggression.\u201d \u201cThe situation on the battlefield remains difficult, but this is a reason to step up, not to scale back our support,\u201d he said.<\/h5>\n<h5>During his visit, the Secretary General discussed the progress in Armenia\u2019s domestic reforms. He highlighted Armenia\u2019s commitment to ensuring democratic control of its armed forces, including by participating in NATO\u2019s building integrity programme.<\/h5>\n<h5>\u201cYou have also shown a real commitment to tackling corruption, strengthening your democratic institutions, and upholding the rule of law,\u201d he concluded.<\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>On the other side, Armenia\u2019s prime minister has warned about another War with Azerbaijan in few days. He made the news alert on the same day when NATO secretary general was there to discuss peace in the region.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>Associated Press has reported that Armenia needs to quickly define the border with neighboring Azerbaijan to avoid a new round of <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">hostilities.<\/span>Last year, Azerbaijan waged a lightning <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">military campaign<\/span> to reclaim the Karabakh region, ending three decades of ethnic Armenian separatists\u2019 rule there.<\/h5>\n<h5>In December, the two sides agreed to <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">begin negotiations<\/span> on a peace treaty. However, many residents of Armenia\u2019s border regions have resisted the demarcation effort, seeing it as Azerbaijan\u2019s encroachment on the areas they consider their own.<\/h5>\n<h5>Speaking to residents of the border village of Voskepar in the Tavush region, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan warned that Armenia\u2019s refusal to delineate the border could trigger a new confrontation.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>\u201cIt would mean that a war could erupt by the end of the week,\u201d Pashinyan said.
