Guru Govinda Singh, tenth guru of Sikhism, had founded the Khalsa order on Baisakhi day in 1699 in Anandapur, and on Baisakhi day in 1801, Punjab King Ranjit Singh proclaimed as Maharaja.<\/h5>\n<h5 dir=\"auto\">A large number of Sikh devotee from different parts of the world participated in the events at Gurudwara Sri Punja Sahib.
