Nguyen Tien Phong, Ambassador of Vietnam in Islamabad, has expressed his country\u2019s commitment to promoting Pak-Vietnam partnership in trade, education, IT, tourism, science and technology. He has emphasized that devising a joint strategy in this regard could generate multiple opportunities for mutual cooperation.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>While delivering the keynote address on \u2018Envisioning Comprehensive Pakistan-Vietnam Cooperation: Prospects and Opportunities\u2019 organized by the NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS), a leading\u00a0 think-tank of NUST, based in Islamabad, on Wednesday, the ambassador said Gandhara tourism is a symbol of the shared Buddhist heritage, and could attract Vietnam tourists.<\/h5>\n<h5>According to him, several historical archeological Gandhara sites located in different parts of Pakistan\u2019s cities, including Taxila, Peshawar, Mardan, and Swat are sacred holy places in the eyes of Buddhists and having potential to attract international tourists from Vietnam and other countries.<\/h5>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"W0IzNc1Zdb\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/ambassador-nguyen-tien-phong-viet-nams-leadership-prepared-the-public-for-resolutely-persistently-protect-the-independence-sovereignty-unity-territorial-integrity-while-maintaining-a-peac\/\">Ambassador  Nguyen Tien Phong : &#8221; Viet Nam&#8217;s Leadership Prepared the Public for Resolutely &#038; Persistently Protect the Independence, Sovereignty, Unity, Territorial Integrity While Maintaining a Peaceful, Stable, Secure Environment for National Development&#8221;<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Ambassador  Nguyen Tien Phong : &#8221; Viet Nam&#8217;s Leadership Prepared the Public for Resolutely &#038; Persistently Protect the Independence, Sovereignty, Unity, Territorial Integrity While Maintaining a Peaceful, Stable, Secure Environment for National Development&#8221;&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/ambassador-nguyen-tien-phong-viet-nams-leadership-prepared-the-public-for-resolutely-persistently-protect-the-independence-sovereignty-unity-territorial-integrity-while-maintaining-a-peac\/embed\/#?secret=wL903rQQCL#?secret=W0IzNc1Zdb\" data-secret=\"W0IzNc1Zdb\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5><em><strong>Recalling the bilateral diplomatic relations, the envoy said \u201cVietnam and Pakistan have celebrated 50 years of relations,&#8221; acknowledging that &#8220;Pakistan has always supported Vietnam in all the international forums.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<h5>While elaborating the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the ambassador said, Vietnamese professionals can help Pakistani counterparts in value addition in many business areas, leading to exports reaching EU markets under the free trade agreements.<\/h5>\n<h5>The ambassador, in his concluding remarks, expressed his deep appreciation for the NUST knowledge ecosystem and identified higher education cooperation, IT technology and S&amp;T collaboration as a win-win priority area where rapid mutual gains could be made.<\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>On cultural connectivity, the Ambassador hailed the proposed Gandhara Corridor Project as a major vehicle of regional connectivity, interfaith harmony and cultural tourism.
