Back in 2012 – 138 countries voted in the General Assembly in favor of the State of Palestine
\nYear 2024 – 143 countries voted in the General Assembly in favor of the State of Palestine
\nThere has been progress by 5 countries during 12 years of diplomatic work!<\/h5>\n
There is a group of major countries that vote for the Palestinian right, including Russia, China, Japan, and many European countries… where France, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Malta, Slovenia and Luxembourg will recognize Palestine bilaterally next week.<\/h5>\n
Today’s vote reflects a failure that deserves an in-depth review when we see the Kingdom of Sweden, which recognized Palestine in 2014, abstaining from voting today!!!<\/h5>\n
The countries that abstained in the Security Council and were not summoned, nor were they reprimanded or asked for clarification, the United Kingdom and Switzerland abstained again, so there is no one to blame or review!<\/h5>\n
This is not a victory, this is an entitlement for the Palestinian people.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n
Diplomatic work requires strategic planning based on developing a map of countries according to votes and how to deal with each of them to ensure the necessary alliances, and this requires more specialization in who handles diplomatic files!<\/h5>\n
