\"\"ISLAMABAD: President of Iran , Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian<\/span><\/span>, Governor of Eastern Azerbaijan, Irani province and representative of Spiritual Leader are missing near the border of Iran and Azerbaijan after their helicopter is said to take an emergency landing. The helicopter was taking them back from the site of a Dam that was inaugurated by the President along with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.<\/h5>\n
Raisi was traveling in Iran\u2019s East Azerbaijan province, with state TV describing the area of the helicopter incident as being near Jolfa, a city on the border with Azerbaijan. The president had been in Azerbaijan earlier on Sunday to inaugurate a dam with Azerbaijan\u2019s president Ilham Aliyev. The dam is the third one that the two nations have built on the Aras river.<\/h5>\n
President Biden of USA has issued a statement in which he has declared that President Raisi has been assassinated but Irani officials are still in search of their president’s whereabouts in the vast hilly area covered with fog and the darkness of night. Irani officials are worried but not confirm about the fate of the President and colleagues.<\/h5>\n
The president of Azerbaijan said he was \u201cseriously worried\u201d after hearing about Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s helicopter crash.<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n
Ilham Aliyev had met the Iranian president earlier today for the inauguration of a dam in Azerbaijan.<\/h5>\n
\u201cToday, after meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi we were seriously worried by the news that the helicopter carrying the high delegation made an emergency landing in Iran,\u201d he posted on X.<\/h5>\n
\u201cOur prayers to almighty God are with President Ibrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation.\u201d<\/h5>\n
He added Azerbaijan was ready to provide any necessary support to Iran.\"\"<\/h5>\n
Rescuers have not yet reached the crash site of a helicopter carrying Iran\u2019s president and foreign minister and are \u201cexperiencing difficult and complicated conditions\u201d, an Iranian government spokesperson said.<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n
In a post on X, Ali Bahadori Jahromi said there was still no update on Ebrahim Raisi and Hossein Amirabdollahian condition.<\/h5>\n
\u201cIt is the right of the people and the media to be aware of the latest news about the president\u2019s helicopter accident, but according to the coordinates of the accident site and the weather conditions, there is \u201cno\u201d new news until now,\u201d Jahromi added.<\/h5>\n
\u201cIn these moments, patience, prayer, and trust in relief groups are the way forward.\u201d<\/h5>\n
Iran\u2019s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the nation \u201cshould pray\u201d for Raisi\u2019s health, state broadcaster IRIB reported.<\/h5>\n
