ASEAN Islamabad Committee celebrated an ASEAN Movie week at the end of May 2024 at Embassy of Philippines in Islamabad being the chair of the committee and having the required facilities as well like outside screening and spacious sitting arrangement.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n
On 26 May Vietnam Embassy screened the famous award winning melodious movie ” Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass ” directed by Victor V\u0169 and produced by Galaxy Media & Entertainment Saigon Concert, Ph\u01b0\u01a1ng Nam Film, PS Vi\u1ec7t Nam and K+ Television channel.<\/h5>\n
Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen Tien Phong, Ambassador of Vietnam, staff and families hosted the guests and presented them traditional Vietnamese soup and food that was another attraction there.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador of Philippines Ms Maria Agnes M. Cervantes, Chair of ASEAN Committee Islamabad and his staff was also welcoming the guests as the co host of the event that added colors to the beautiful Sunday evening because the weather was very pleasant luckily. Otherwise the sun is shining in Islamabad with high temperatures these days.<\/h5>\n
Ambassadors and High Commissioners of ASEAN states and other countries were present at the event. Pakistani friends of Vietnam Embassy from different walks of life also watched the movie and appreciated the melodies and the story of the movie.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador H.E Nguyen Tien Phong, in his welcome address shed light on the movie and shared the details enhancing the interest of the guests in the movie.<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/h5>\n
The theme of the movie was adapted from the novel of the same name by Nguy\u1ec5n Nh\u1eadt \u00c1nh.It was premiered in Cannes Film Festival 2015 and released in theaters on 2 October 2015. It was selected as the Vietnamese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. On December 5 during the 19th Vietnam Film Festival, the movie was awarded the golden lotus (the most-honored award given to a Vietnamese movie.<\/h5>\n
This is a movie portraying love and affection about a hometown, a family and teenage hood of each. T\u01b0\u1eddng is an innocent and lovely boy while his brother Thi\u1ec1u is selfish and stubborn.
