A total of 140 joint programs and projects are being successfully implemented. In recent years, Uzbekistan&#8217;s initiative has led to the adoption of 10 special resolutions by the UN General Assembly.<\/h5>\n<h5>Since the beginning of the year, five deputies of the UN Secretary-General have visited Uzbekistan. Last month, the country was elected to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Administrative Council of the International Labor Organization.<\/h5>\n<h5>For the first time, a representative from Uzbekistan became a member of the UN Human Rights Committee. Next year, the 43rd General Conference of UNESCO will be held in Samarkand.<\/h5>\n<h5>International and regional issues of significance were also discussed.
