Islamabad; China Cultural Center in Pakistan and Cultural Office of Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Pakistan in collaboration with the All Pakistan China Friendship Association-APCFA organized an Exhibition of Pakistani Students\u2019 Poster Competition on \u201cOne Belt One Road in My Eyes\u201d. <\/strong>The opening ceremony of the event was held at China Cultural Center in Pakistan on Friday, 26th April, 2019 at 4:00 pm.\"\"<\/p>\n

Ms. Noreen Farooq Ibrahim, Member of National Assembly (MNA), Mr. Almas Hyder, President Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry participated as chief guest and inaugurated the Exhibition. Mr. Zhang Heqing, Director China Cultural Center & Cultural Counselor of Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China, Ms. Atiya Qutab, President All Pakistan China Friendship Association, Mr. Jamal Shah, Director General PNCA along with other eminent guests were also present at the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n

This poster competition on the theme of \u201cOne Belt One Road in My Eyes\u201d among Pakistani school students was conceptualized to inspire innovation and stimulate interest among young students for promotion of friendly feelings and mutual understanding thereby strengthening the people to people communication and cooperation between China and Pakistan.<\/p>\n

\"\"The posters depict the belt and road as visualized through the eyes of these young girls and boys. Through these paintings youth have the chance to share their fabulous stories and create a platform for communication and exchange of ideas. The activity will enhance the understanding of the \u201cOne Belt And One Road\u201d and gain better promotion and inheritance of the \u201cOne Belt And One Road\u201d initiative among Pakistani youth.<\/p>\n

Mr. Zhang Heqing, Cultural Counsellor of Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China & Ms. Noreen Farooq Ibrahim, Member of National Assembly (MNA) distributed the prizes to winning students (1st<\/sup> to 6th<\/sup> prize) and all others participants were awarded certificates and Chinese stories books in Urdu translation. Total 53 student\u2019s poster of 13 different schools form Islamabad, Rawalpindi & Peshawar were displayed at the gallery of China Cultural Center in Pakistan as an exhibition to promote cultural creativity of Pakistani students of different age groups.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Belt, One Road\u201d (OBOR) Initiative, is the name of a plan to revive and better the spirit of the old silk road and a step towards realizing the prophecy of the Asian century. The OBOR consists of various mega-projects, but the main two programmes are \u201cthe Maritime Silk Road\u201d (MSR) and the \u201cSilk Road Economic Belt\u201d (SREB). These were first revealed to the world in 2013, during the Chinese President Xi Jinping\u201fs visits to Kazakhstan and Indonesia. This Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) seeks to better integrate the economies of Asia, Europe and parts of Africa in a colossal contiguous market consisting of upwards of 68 countries, an estimated 30 percent of the world’s economic output as well as more than 60% of the world\u2019s population.<\/p>\n

We believe that through this exhibition, more Pakistani students will be eager to learn and understand the enthusiasm of Chinese history and Culture, thereby further enhancing the common wealth of the people, deepening the friendship between the Chinese and Pakistani people and strengthening communication and cooperation between the people of these two counties.<\/p>\n
