Advertisement Policy should be evolved to meet the constitutional requirements of fundamental human rights to ensure freedom of Press and expression and right of access to information under transparent democratic principles.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3337\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cpne.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cpne.jpg 260w, https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/cpne-80x60.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>CPNE passed the recommendation over draft of new National Advertisement Policy in its Annual General Meeting held in Karachi in the chairmanship of President ArifNizami which was received by Federal Ministry of Information.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>CPNE demanded that fixation the rates of Government Advertisements should be connected with Consumer Price Index (CPI) as announced by former caretaker federal information minister Barrister Ali Zafar on the pressing demand of CPNE.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>CPNE demanded transparent and judicious distribution of Govt. Advertisements among genuine and regular newspapers and journals.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The CPNE called for stoppage of release of Govt. Advertisements to ghost and irregular newspapers and journals and emphasized that policy of patronization of such print media through release of Govt. Ads should be abandoned.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The meeting also demanded not to deprive newspapers and periodicals of Govt. ads on the basis of favoritism, nepotism,\u00a0political affiliation and editorial policy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The meeting demanded that all the provincial newspapers should be given due share in advertisement campaigns and special editions of Federal Ministries, Departments, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies of Federal Government in accordance with NFC Award.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The CPNE demanded for allocation 25 percent quota of advertisements for small newspapers of metropolitan cities like those of regional newspapers and 10 percent quota for journals and magazines.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The CPNE reiterated its demand for bifurcation of newspapers payment and ad agencies commission and called for direct payment of Govt.
