Buddhism does not asks to worship Buddha. It is way of life , code of living in communities. He grades Pakistani heritage the original as it was in the history of its origin. He also considers Pakistani Buddhist Heritage more credible and deep rooted than Indian heritage. He says , Pakistan was the actual Cradle of Buddha.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>In its latest edition of Thought Leaders Forum (TLF), the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted a senior monk from Thailand, Most Venerable (MV) Dr. Anil Sakya. Organized by the China-Pakistan Study Center (CPSC), the session focused on \u201cBuddhist Heritage of Pakistan: A Bridge to Peace and Harmony.\u201d<\/h5>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"w4rMBQvaZ9\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-is-committed-to-preserving-its-buddhist-heritage-dpm-dar-assures-visiting-delegation\/\">Pakistan is committed to preserving its Buddhist heritage &#8211; DPM Dar assures Visiting Delegation<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Pakistan is committed to preserving its Buddhist heritage &#8211; DPM Dar assures Visiting Delegation&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-is-committed-to-preserving-its-buddhist-heritage-dpm-dar-assures-visiting-delegation\/embed\/#?secret=pAz27nkMIA#?secret=w4rMBQvaZ9\" data-secret=\"w4rMBQvaZ9\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5><em><strong>Director General ISSI Ambassador Sohail Mahmood<\/strong><\/em>, in his welcome remarks, highlighted MV Dr. Anil Sakay\u2019s illustrious journey as a revered spiritual leader and a distinguished scholar, noting his significant contributions to the understanding of the Buddhist philosophy and heritage worldwide.<\/h5>\n<h5>He emphasized Dr. Anil Sakya&#8217;s unique ability to bridge the traditional principles of Theravada Buddhism with the contemporary challenges faced by lay-people, making him a beacon of adaptability and relevance in today&#8217;s world. He added that by preserving and promoting this heritage, Pakistan was not only honouring its past but also making a valuable contribution to global dialogue on peace and harmony.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>MV Dr. Anil Sakya,<\/strong> in his address, emphasized the profound significance of Pakistan\u2019s unique Buddhist heritage, which dated back over thousands of years and represented some of the most authentic and ancient Buddhist sites and artifacts in the world. A cross-section of people including academics, think-tank experts, and members of civil society and the media participated.<\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Here it is worth mentioning that few more steps can be taken to more strengthen Pakistan&#8217;s Buddha connection with Thailand and other countries by signing sister city agreements for Peshawar, Taxila , Sawabi, Swat etc. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Further, as there was a University in Taxila during Buddhist civilization, Pakistan and the stake holder countries can join hands to rebuild a university on the same pattern in Taxila. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Government of Pakistan has designed a project of Buddha Corridors.
