<\/p>\nAshgabat: 7 May 2019, Turkmen-Russian high-level negotiations for further enhancing the bilateral cooperation \u00a0held in\u00a0Ashgabat resulted in signing of many documents of mutual understanding. The delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Deputy\u00a0Chairman of the Government, Head of State Administration K.A.Chuychenko
\narrived to the country to participate in the talks.<\/p>\n
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of\u00a0Turkmenistan. in the first half of the day, the high guest was received by President of\u00a0Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the parties\u00a0discussed current issues related to Turkmen-Russian relations in political, trade economic\u00a0and cultural-humanitarian spheres.<\/p>\n
Then, the 11th session of Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian\u00a0Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the premises of the\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.<\/p>\n
During the session, the parties spoke about the key aspects of bilateral\u00a0cooperation, particularly issues of trade and economic nature. The participants\u00a0elaborated on the subjects related to the development of mutually beneficial
\ncooperation between profile ministries and agencies of the two countries,\u00a0implementation of agreements, as well as talked about the process of executing\u00a0trade actions.<\/p>\n
The parties considered the joint projects, issues related to the work of\u00a0Russian companies on the territory of Turkmenistan, as well as prospects of\u00a0cooperation in the industry, construction, transport, oil and gas, gas-chemical
\nand electro-energy spheres.<\/p>\n
Upon completion of the session, the ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place. These included:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Protocol of the 11th session of Intergovernmental Turkmen-RussianCommission on Economic Cooperation\u201d,
\n\u2022 \u201cMemorandum between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of\u00a0Turkmenistan and the Government of Astrakhan region on\u00a0establishing a Turkmen-Astrakhan Joint Council on commercial\u00a0issues\u201d.
\n\u2022 \u201cAgreement between All-Russia State Institute of cinematography\u00a0named after S.A.Gerasimov and State Committee of Turkmenistan for\u00a0Television, Radio broadcasting and Cinematography on Cooperation in
\nthe area of elevating the qualifications of Turkmen specialists\u201d,
\n\u2022 \u201cAgreement between the Federal State Budgetary Establishment\u00a0\u2018Moscow Helmholtz Research Institute of Eye Diseases\u201d of the\u00a0Ministry of Healthcare of Russian Federation and the ScientificClinical\u00a0Centre of Eye Diseases of the State Medical University of\u00a0Turkmenistan named after Murad Garriyev\u201d.<\/p>\n
It is worthwhile to note that the day before, on 6th May 2019, the meeting\u00a0of experts of the two countries was held in the framework of preparations to the
\nabove mentioned meeting.
