The Capital Street like Nizami Street Baku Azerbaijan in Islamabad project has been reviewed and now the Food Street Melody will be renewed only.Melody Food Park was delivered by CDA but the renovation on Nizami street Baku style is not CDA&#8217;s cup of tea now.<\/h5>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"QtCmb3Ek4t\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-in-the-world-april-may-2024\/\">Pakistan in the World \u2013 April \/ May 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Pakistan in the World \u2013 April \/ May 2024&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-in-the-world-april-may-2024\/embed\/#?secret=KUeSh8YQNR#?secret=QtCmb3Ek4t\" data-secret=\"QtCmb3Ek4t\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5>The project is funded by Azerbaijan Gov and in Pakistan, Minister of Interior Mohasin Naqvi is looking after the project directly with assistance of Inspector General Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, whom the minister picked from Lahore, minister&#8217;s home town and promoted as IG in the capital city. Mohammad Ali Randhawa former Commissioner Lahore was also brought to Islamabad by the minister and posted Chairman CDA \/ Chief Commissioner but his supervision \/ assistance is not required in this project.<\/h5>\n<h5>There will be renovation of food street Melody instead of a separate street that was envisioned last year and the government \/CDA published advertisements in the newspapers for the interested parties but the response was the least. The sheds and sign boards of the government buildings including Pakistan Post, National Bank of Pakistan, Abpara Police Station, Masjid Osman in the Parking, Shops and Restaurants are being replaced with new that will be designed and installed in the style that the financier approves.<\/h5>\n<h5>There is no detail available about, the value of the project and what time frame has been fixed to accomplish the renovation. This scribe learnt from the local eye witnesses that one Pakistani company Signature is involved in this project. This company is private that shows a lack of trust on gov departments including CDA. A market with no cleanliness, no decoration, bad state infrastructure, gloomy environment, dirty walls and dilapidated floor is to become state of the art street that will add more millions to the properties and the raise in the rents is a must as well. That is why, the tenants are worried for the greedy property owners will double the rents because the street will attract more customers.<\/h5>\n<h5><em><strong>Details of the Project<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<h5>No one in the street knows about the details of the project. As mentioned above some private companies are doing the job. It portrays a picture that the alteration of the government property is being conducted by private people who have no authority to dismantle the sheds and sign boards etc. But the local traders especially the property owners are fully cooperating with them for it is in their own interest. Whoever is looking after the project from gov side should come forth in media with all information. Mainly it consists of Iron \/Steel\/ Electric utensils\/ wood etc. It still has a worth of thousands of rupees for one shed or sign board while there are dozens. Only a small part of the street is left for beautification. As long as beautification is concerned , that is appreciative , but this scribe has visited Nizami Street in Baku that is very spacious place leaving vast parts for the tourists to walk through. Here in case of Melody , walk through facility is too limited to enjoy the renewed food street. Actually it does not seems like a street.<\/h5>\n<h5>There are three big parking places that have not been used or shown in the map. 1- Behind Islamabad Hotel (just behind the hotel and not in front of Masjid Osman) 2- Between old cinema and CDNA headquarters 3- In front of the old Cinema<\/h5>\n<h5><em><strong>What is the future of the Cinema<\/strong> <\/em><\/h5>\n<h5>There is an old cinema theater in the market that is not operative for long. A street with a theater would be more attractive for the tourists. Gov should consider it to make the maximum of this project.<\/h5>\n<h5><em><strong>Any working for the Tourists ?<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<h5>Tourists does not need beautification and infrastructure only. They also expect and deserve fair prices. Unfortunately , it is fashion in Pakistan, the rates are doubles and tripled if there is some decoration or beauty touch to a tourist site. The administrative officers in Pakistan do not care for the price check in the markets.
