\"\"Islamabad: The applications for the British Council administered Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls are now open.<\/p>\n

This scholarship funds Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s\/MPhil studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.
\nBritish Council administers the scheme in Pakistan and coordinates with selected scholars and universities either directly or through nominated university focal persons.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Director British Council Pakistan, Maarya Rehman said: \u2018The Scottish Scholarship Scheme is a vital part of our work in supporting the educational aspirations of young women and girls in Pakistan. We are supporting them to gain the skills, confidence, and connections that will help to transform their lives and shape a better and more prosperous Pakistan.\u2019
\nThe scholarship will cover a two-year master\u2019s\/MPhil or four-year bachelor\u2019s degree at an HEC-recognised Pakistani university in one of the following subject areas only:
\n\u2022 Education
\n\u2022 Sustainable Energy
\n\u2022 Food Security and Agriculture
\n\u2022 Health Sciences
\n\u2022 STEM (Masters only)<\/p>\n

These scholarships are open to female applicants only.
\nIn addition, applicants must:
\n\u2022 Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan
\n\u2022 Be pursuing a two-year master\u2019s or four years bachelor\u2019s degree in the above listed subject areas
\n\u2022 Hold a confirmed admission offer from an HEC recognised university in Pakistan
\n\u2022 Young women with disabilities, from rural areas and\/or minority groups are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

The last date to submit the application is 30 September 2024
