Sergey Lavrov said criticism of Russia\u2019s \u201cspecial operation\u201d based on the UN Charter and Ukraine\u2019s territorial integrity, ignored the fact that the UN\u2019s founding document also \u201cdeclares the obligation to respect the principles of the equality and self-determination of peoples\u201d, he said, arguing that this had after all been the basis for ongoing decolonisation efforts.<\/h5>\n
