ISLAMABAD: 30 Sep 2024 – Ambassador of Russian Federation H.E Albert P. Khorev has shared with Pakistani media that Ukrainian military is violating human rights and committing gruesome atrocities against the\u00a0 civilian citizens in Kursk region. Ukraine attacked Kursk in a desperate move only to divert attention of Russian troops from Donbas but their purpose could not be fulfilled. Ambassador made it clear that Russia does not have any expansion designs. Russia’s intention is only to secure the rights of Russian population.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
Ambassador shared the latest details of the situation especially in and around Kursk region and as a whole in general in a press conference held at the Embassy premises in which a large number of press and media representatives participated. The press conference coincided with the completion of 2 years of accession of 4 republics of Donbas region (Donetsk<\/a>, Kherson<\/a>, Luhansk<\/a> and Zaporizhzhia) to Russian Federation.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador opined on recent visit of President Zelenskyy to Washington. He said the visit aimed at seeking approval for so called “Plan of Victory”<\/strong><\/span> that is about attacks on Russia with long range missiles. That is where Russia refers Nuclear for defense. Ukraine is not Nuclear but its supporters are Nuclear. Therefore it would not be between Nuclear and non Nuclear<\/strong><\/span>.<\/h5>\n
Ambassador alleged Ukrainian military of committing atrocities to the civilians and destroying the civilian infrastructure including the residential buildings, hospitals, power supplying installations and others. He shared the number of casualties in Ukrainian attacks in which the victims include a large number of (What the Ambassador said) children and women.<\/h5>\n
” Today is an important date in the history of Russia. On September 30, 2022, President Putin signed treaties on accession \u043ef the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions to the Russian Federation, Ambassador noted in the beginning of the press conference.<\/h5>\n
He said, “Realizing that the strategic initiative “on the ground” is in Russia’s hands along the entire line of contact, the Kiev regime unleashed large-scale terrorist activities against the civilian population of our regions, and on August 6 this year the Ukrainian fighters invaded the peaceful, border region of Kursk.”<\/h5>\n
