This decision was communicated in an official document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>The Republic of Ghana \u201chas decided to immediately inform, through diplomatic channels, the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, the African Union and the United Nations, of this position.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the same official document, the Republic of Ghana expressed its support for the &#8220;good-faith efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco to reach a solution accepted by all parties.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Republic of Ghana had recognized the so-called &#8220;sadr&#8221; in 1979.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the impetus given to the Moroccan Sahara issue by the King Mohammed VI, 46 countries, including 13 African nations, have severed or suspended their relations with the polisario since 2000.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Xd1yMLA1Ta\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-africa-relations-envoys-share-prospects-in-house-by-issi\/\">Pakistan-Africa Relations &#8211; Envoys Share Prospects @ In House by ISSI<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Pakistan-Africa Relations &#8211; Envoys Share Prospects @ In House by ISSI&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-africa-relations-envoys-share-prospects-in-house-by-issi\/embed\/#?secret=xdfT0iZeYa#?secret=Xd1yMLA1Ta\" data-secret=\"Xd1yMLA1Ta\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Republic of Ghana has decided to suspend diplomatic relations with Polisario.
