Islamabad \/ Pakistan : 17 Jan 2025 – <\/span><\/span>Mr. & Mrs. Pham Anh Tuan , Ambassador of Vietnam in Pakistan hosted a reception at the Embassy in Islamabad to celebrate Vietnamese Lunar Year with friends of his country in Pakistan. DHM Mr. Thang Truong, staff and their families were also warmly welcoming the guests at the auspicious occasion of their country. It is called Community Tet celebration, The Year of the Snake in Vietnam.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Among the guests former ambassadors of Pakistan to Vietnam , Ambassadors and High Commissioners of ASEAN countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Indonesia were prominent.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Representatives of civil society , business community and chambers of commerce were also present to share the joys of Vietnamese people.\"\"<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Lucky tree was part of the event as usual. The guests plucked their lucky money envelops , beautifully prepared and hanging in the branches of the trees like fruits. Vietnam people consider the money inside the envelops as lucky for the owner who plucks it from the tree. Pakistanis availing this opportunity are now developing the same belief and take keen interest in this Vietnamese tradition.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Vietnamese soup and dishes were served to the taste of the guests who always admire the food in Vietnam events. The traditional dresses of the hosts were another pleasant interest of the guests with their colors and designs.<\/div>\n

A documentary was also screened to apprise the guests about the development in Vietnam.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan , in his address , shed light on the Tet holiday. He said:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Every Tet holiday, Vietnamese people, wherever they may be, turn their thoughts toward their families, ancestors, homeland, and country, and feel an immense nostalgia, wishing to come back to their homeland for a family reunion and a taste of the particular flavours of Tet Holiday.<\/p>\n

“Today, we are delighted to welcome representatives of the Vietnamese community who living, studying, and working in Pakistan, along with close friends of the Viet Nam Embassy in Pakistan, gathered the common home of Vietnam in Pakistan to share the atmosphere of Vietnamese Tet, enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine, and together look towards our homeland and beloved families, H.E noted.<\/p>\n

While sharing the achievements of his country in the previous year, Ambassador shared , “Looking back 2024, Viet Nam has achieved many outstanding accomplishments across all fields: stable Macroeconomy; ensured national defense and security as well as social security and welfare; maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national development; the people’s lives continue to improve; the country’s international stance and prestige has been continuously enhanced.”<\/p>\n
