ISLAMABAD: 21 March 2025 – Ambassador of Uzbekistan, H.E Alisher Tukhtaev takes Navruz as connecting factor of the regions from Central Asia to Middle East and from South Caucasus to South Asia and when it comes in the month of blessings, Ramadan (Ramzaan) the uniting force is doubled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. and Mrs. Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted\u00a0Iftar dinner on the occasion of Navruz Holiday in Islamabad Marriott Hotel. The embassy staff and families were also present. The ladies and children of Uzbekistan were dressed in traditional gowns that made the event a rich cultural extravaganza.<\/p>\n

Haroon Akhtar Khan\u00a0 Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Minister-in-Charge for Industries and Production, Dean of Diplomatic Corp, Ambassador Turkmenistan H.E Atadjan Movlamov,\u00a0 Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana, the CEO and President of Sustainable Tourism Foundation were also present.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors of Kazakhstan H.E Yerzhan Kistafin, Tajikistan H.E SHARIFZODA Yusuf Toir, Jordon Maen Khreasat, Turkiye Dr Irfan Neziroglu, Morocco, Mohamed Karmoun, Brunei Darussalam, PG Kamal Bashah PG Ahmed, Syria H.E Dr. Ramez Alraee, Representative TRNC Dilsod Sinol, DHM of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, DG Pakistan National Council of Arts Ayub Jamali, MD Hunerkada Jamal Shah also attended the event.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The host Ambassador , in his welcome remarks shed light on Navrus. He said, “Navruz is a festival that symbolizes new beginnings, renewal, and the beauty of nature. This year, Navruz comes at the same time as the holy month of Ramadan \u2013 a time of reflection, unity, and generosity. This special moment allows us to celebrate both the renewal of nature and the blessings of Ramadan.”<\/p>\n

“Today, as we come together, we not only welcome spring but also honor the deep religious and cultural traditions that unite our brotherly nations and the entire Muslim Ummah, Ambassador said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Uzbekistan, Navruz has a special place in culture and society. It is more than just a celebration \u2013 it reflects our core values of peace, friendship, generosity, and respect for our ancestors’ traditions. During this time, people help those in need, strengthen community ties, and express gratitude for nature\u2019s blessings.<\/p>\n

\"\"H.E Tukhtaev added , “One of the most beloved traditional dishes of Navruz is sumalak, a symbol of prosperity and patience, prepared with love and shared among families and neighbors.”<\/p>\n

The Embassy shared sumalak with the guests as a symbol of our friendship, brotherhood, and unity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ambassador noted, ” The celebration of Navruz is also deeply connected to the values of Pakistan. Our two nations share a rich historical and cultural heritage, strong brotherly ties, and a commitment to regional cooperation. Both Uzbekistan and Pakistan believe in preserving traditions while embracing progress.”<\/p>\n
