{"id":45241,"date":"2025-04-18T05:39:57","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T05:39:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/?p=45241"},"modified":"2025-04-18T05:39:57","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T05:39:57","slug":"pakistani-sisters-shine-at-australian-squash-championship-team-wins-4-golds-and-one-silver-at-australian-junior-open-squash-led-by-mehwish-and-sehrish-ali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistani-sisters-shine-at-australian-squash-championship-team-wins-4-golds-and-one-silver-at-australian-junior-open-squash-led-by-mehwish-and-sehrish-ali\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistani sisters shine at Australian Squash Championship  &#8211; Team wins 4 golds and one silver at Australian Junior Open Squash, led by Mehwish and Sehrish Ali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-45244\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Mehwish-Sehrish.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Mehwish-Sehrish.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Mehwish-Sehrish-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>MELBOURNE : 16 April 2025 &#8211; Five Pakistani players, including two of the well-known Ali sisters, delivered dominant performances in the finals of the Australian Junior Open Squash Championship in Melbourne, securing four gold medals and one silver across various categories.<\/p>\n<p>Four out of five Pakistani finalists emerged victorious at the Australian Junior Open Squash Championship, with each winner claiming their title without losing a single game, all posting identical 3-0 wins.<\/p>\n<p>Among the standout performers were Mehwish Ali and Sehrish Ali, two of the three squash-playing sisters from Peshawar, often referred to as the Ali sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Top seed Mehwish won the girls&#8217; under-17 title, defeating New South Wales&#8217; Reden Alma Paulava.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-45245 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Sehrish-Mehwish-e1744954686576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"326\" \/>In the girls&#8217; under-13 category, top-seeded Sehrish overcame Queensland&#8217;s Ryo Kua Bata in straight games.<\/p>\n<p>Sehrish Ali, who competed in two events, was the only Pakistani to miss out on gold. She earned silver in the girls&#8217; under-15 final after a tight five-game battle against Japan&#8217;s M.
