ALGIERS<\/strong> – Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Thursday, at the ministry\u2019s headquarters, Egypt\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdel-Atty, on an official visit to Algeria, the ministry said in a press release.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The visiting FM called on\u00a0 President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune at his office and\u00a0 handed him a letter from President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty said Thursday relations between Egypt and Algeria are \u201chistoric\u201d, pointing out to the commitment to implement the shared vision to advance relations between the two countries to broader horizons in various political, economic, commercial, and investment fields.<\/p>\n

This came during a meeting held between Abdelatty during his visit to Algeria today, and a meeting grouping him with his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf. They stressed the importance of intensifying consultations between the two countries to coordinate positions on various bilateral and regional issues.<\/p>\n

\"\"Egypt is keen on holding the ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Supreme Committee, chaired by the two prime ministers, in Cairo this year, and to hold a business forum on the sidelines of the Supreme Committee, which will contribute to advancing cooperation between the two countries in various economic, trade, and investment fields.<\/p>\n

Abdelatty also said Egypt is ready to exchange expertise in the field of development, particularly in the infrastructure sector and the establishment of new cities and urban communities, highlighting the expertise and competence of Egyptian companies that qualify them to contribute to development projects in Algeria.<\/p>\n

The two ministers exchanged views on the most prominent issues on the regional scene, including developments in Gaza and Libya. The top diplomat reviewed Egypt’s efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.<\/p>\n

The two ministers agreed to completely reject the displacement of Palestinians from their land under any pretext or justification. They also reviewed Arab and Islamic efforts to mobilize international support for the reconstruction plan, ensuring that Palestinians remain on their land.<\/p>\n
