The meeting focused on enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries in the railway sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 29 April 2025,\u00a0 Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the relevant authorities to immediately initiate work on the feasibility of a railway link between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and trade. He issued these directives during a meeting with Kazakhstan\u2019s Minister for Transport, Marat Karabayev, at the PM\u2019s House.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi, emphasized that, \u201cPakistan is committed to further strengthening its relations with Kazakhstan, and we will take every possible step to enhance trade, economic, and developmental ties between the two countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At this occasion, Ambassador H.E. Yerzhan Kistafen also highlighted that, \u201cSerious discussions are ongoing about several new and important agreements with the Government of Pakistan, aimed at further strengthening the economic relations between our two countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A significant topic discussed during the meeting was the enhancement of connectivity between Central Asian states and Pakistan via rail network. Yerzhan Kistafen reaffirmed that further cooperation in the railway sector between the two countries is possible, and it was discussed that in the future, imports from Central Asian states could be facilitated through rail. The Ambassador noted that this step would not only improve trade relations but also further stabilize economic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Minister Hanif Abbasi stated, \u201cOther brotherly Muslim countries such as Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan could also be included, which would promote economic development and connectivity across the entire region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This meeting is expected to be a crucial step in furthering economic and developmental ties between the two nations, opening new opportunities in the railway sector.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador H.E.
