ISLAMABAD: Sports Reporter – The World Boxing Championships 2025, held from Sep 4 to 14, concluded with historic achievements for Uzbekistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event was the first-ever senior world championship organized under the aegis of World Boxing, bringing together 540 athletes from 68 countries to compete across 20 medal events: 10 for men and 10 for women.<\/p>\n

The Uzbek delegation, featuring 18 boxers in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams, produced one of the finest performances in the nation\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

By the end of the tournament, Uzbekistan had secured a total of 11 medals: 6 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze, which placed them second in the overall team standings.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s team, however, was the undeniable highlight, topping the men\u2019s rankings with six gold medals and one silver. Notably, all gold medals in the men\u2019s categories were won exclusively by boxers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, reflecting the dominance of Central Asia in world boxing.<\/p>\n

Among the champions, Turabek Khabibullaev and Fazliddin Erkinboev earned their first world titles, while Asadkhudja Muydinkhujaev and Abdumalik Khalokov entered history as two-time world champions.<\/p>\n

For Turabek Khabibullaev, Akmaljon Isroilov, Javokhir Ummataliev, and Fazliddin Erkinboev, the championship was a debut, as each secured gold in their very first senior world appearance.<\/p>\n

With six gold medals, Uzbekistan\u2019s men\u2019s team achieved a historic milestone, setting a new record for the nation at a single world championship.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s team also made their mark by repeating their best-ever result at the world level, collecting one silver and three bronze medals.<\/p>\n

Their success confirmed that Uzbekistan\u2019s boxing strength is not only growing among men but also steadily rising among women athletes.<\/p>\n
