ISLAMABAD : Monitoring Desk \u2013 Peshawar recently welcomed a distinguished delegation of EU Ambassadors and dignitaries, who embarked on an immersive cultural tour of the historic city. The visit highlighted Peshawar\u2019s remarkable heritage, spanning centuries of vibrant history, diverse traditions, and architectural marvels.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Masood Ahmad Qazi, Hon Consul General of Romania \/ CEO Peshawar Barracks alongwith the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority made arrangements for this historical tour of its first type to the historical city of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Romania Mr. Dan Stoenescu led the ambassadors from Islamabad to Peshawar. Ambassadors of Austria,Bulgaria, Hungary, Portugal, Norway and Ukraine were present in the tour with spouses (Who had) and the staff.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The delegation explored key landmarks including Gor Khatri, the Heritage Trail, the iconic Sethi House, and the renowned Peshawar Museum.<\/p>\n

Throughout the tour, they experienced the living history of one of South Asia\u2019s oldest cities, enjoying a curated city tour that also featured a scenic bus ride through the bustling streets and heritage sites.<\/p>\n

Deeply impressed by the city’s charm, rich legacy, and hospitality, the visitors praised the timeless beauty and cultural depth of Peshawar.<\/p>\n

As a token of appreciation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority presented them with a beautifully crafted souvenir, which was warmly received and greatly admired by the guests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The visit served as a powerful cultural exchange, strengthening ties and showcasing Peshawar as a proud custodian of history, heritage, and hospitality.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Romania shared his views about the tour on his face book page as , “This past weekend, on 4\u20135 October, we had the pleasure of holding the \u201cPeshawar Annual Ambassadorial Retreat \u2013 Romania-EU+\u201d, a wonderful occasion to strengthen dialogue and friendship among EU ambassadors and fellow non-EU heads of mission in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.”<\/p>\n

Hosted in the historic city of Peshawar, the retreat organized by the Embassy of Romania offered an unforgettable experience \u2014 discovering one of the oldest cities in South Asia, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant bazaars, and warm Pashtun hospitality.<\/p>\n

Ambassador thanked the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Peshawar for its generous support, and to the Peshawar Barracks Heritage Hotel for hosting us in such a charming and atmospheric venue that beautifully reflects the city\u2019s cultural legacy.It was truly an inspiring and memorable weekend of diplomacy, culture, and friendship.<\/p>\n
