\"\"ISLAMABAD: 27 Nov 2025 – Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi Thursday inaugurated the Indonesian Book Corner at the National Library of Pakistan (NLP), marking a significant step in cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to strengthen cooperation in the field of library and information management.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The MoU was signed by Mr. Joko Santoso, Prime Secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, and Mr. Muhammad Ali Shahzad Muzaffar, Director General, National Library of Pakistan.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture Division, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, along with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, graced the ceremony. Ambassadors of ASEAN countries also attended the event, adding further significance to the occasion\"\"<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Following the signing, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia Corner was held at the National Library of Pakistan, Strengthening cultural and knowledge exchange between the two nations.<\/div>\n

Speaking at the event, Minister Khichi said the inauguration held special importance as both countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations.<\/div>\n

He noted that Pakistan and Indonesia share a bond rooted in mutual respect, shared values, and longstanding cooperation in culture, education, and international forums.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He said the Indonesian Corner would serve as a bridge between the peoples of both nations, offering access to Indonesia\u2019s literature, heritage, and intellectual traditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch initiatives strengthen not only our institutions but also the people-to-people connections that define enduring friendships,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The minister highlighted that the MoU between the two national libraries would enhance collaboration through book exchanges, joint cultural activities, training, and research cooperation.<\/p>\n

He appreciated the Embassy of Indonesia for its support and lauded the National Library of Pakistan for promoting international cultural linkages.<\/p>\n
