This is being seen as the difference between the Muslim world on the matter because Somaliland is itself Muslim populated region. Israeli Prime Minister is pampering leader of Somaliland Mr. Abdullahi for his designs to displace Gazans to this region and strike , surveil Iran in Yemen fron this region that is near and in front of Yemen.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the People\u2019s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Union of the Comoros, the Republic of Djibouti, the Arab Republic of Egypt the Republic of The Gambia,the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Iraq, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait, the State of Libya, the Republic of Maldives, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Sultanate of Oman, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of the Sudan, the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, the Republic of Yemen, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have strongly rejected Israel\u2019s recognition of the \u201cSomaliland\u201d region of the Federal Republic of Somalia on 26 December 2025 underscored the following:<\/p>\n<p>1- Their unequivocal rejection of Israel\u2019s recognition of the \u201cSomaliland\u201d region of the Federal Republic of Somali a on 26 December 2025, given the serious repercussions of such unprecedented measure on peace and security in the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea, and its serious effects on international peace and security as a whole, which also reflects Israel\u2019s full and blatant disregard to international law.<\/p>\n<p>2- Their condemnation in the strongest terms of such recognition, which constitutes a grave violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, which explicitly stipulates the imperative of protecting the sovereignty of states and their territorial integrity, and reflects Israel\u2019s expansionist.<\/p>\n<p>3- Full support of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the unequivocal rejection of any measures that undermine the unity of Somalia, its territorial integrity or its sovereignty over its entire territory.<\/p>\n<p>4- The recognition of parts of states constitutes a serious precedent and threatens international peace and security, and violates the cardinal principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.<\/p>\n<p>5- The full rejection of any potential link between such measure and any attempts to forcibly expel the Palestinian people out of their land, which is unequivocally rejected in any form as a matter of principle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pakistan Rejects Attempts to Undermine Somalia\u2019s Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pakistan strongly condemns any attempts to undermine the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, and rejects, in this regard, the announcement made by Israel recognising the independence of the so-called Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>Such illegal and provocative actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and not only threaten the peace and stability of the brotherly country of Somalia, but also that of the entire region. The international community must step in to reject any such actions, and prevent and deter Israel from undermining the ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the broader region.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan reiterates its complete support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, as well as for all efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan also reiterates its unequivocal rejection of any steps aimed at the forced displacement of Palestinians from their land under any circumstances, and reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their just struggle for self-determination and for a sovereign, independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-57196\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/somaliland-e1766945858711.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"305\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister\/Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar received a call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali Abdisalam Ali The DPM\/FM reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s full support for Somalia\u2019s sovereignty &amp; territorial integrity and condemned any actions aimed at undermining it.<\/p>\n<p>The Somali Foreign Minister thanked the DPM\/FM for standing by Somalia and for Pakistan\u2019s continued and sustained support. He also sought Pakistan\u2019s assistance in raising Somalia\u2019s concerns at the UNSC. The DPM\/FM affirmed Pakistan\u2019s full support for Somalia at the UN and other multilateral fora.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister \/ Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Egypt Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty.<\/p>\n<p>The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the positive momentum in bilateral relations. They shared views on regional and global developments especially Somalia and Yemen. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting regional peace, stability and development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-57195\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Somaliland-Israel-e1766945613529.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Israel on Friday became the first country to recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state, more than three decades after the African region broke away from Somalia, with the Muslim nation saying it aspired to join the Abraham Accords, Times of Israel reported.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa\u2019ar signed the declaration for Israel, while Somaliland\u2019s President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi signed for his country, which sits in a key strategic region in the Horn of Africa.<\/p>\n<p>While no other countries have formally recognized it, several states \u2014 including the UK, Ethiopia, Turkey, the UAE, Denmark, Kenya and Taiwan \u2014 maintained liaison offices, and the Trump administration has signaled in recent months that it could change its stance on the breakaway region.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Friday announcement sparked anger among several regional powers who accused Israel of undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Abdullahi by phone, Netanyahu said the friendship between the countries was \u201cseminal and historic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe intend to work together with you on economic fields, on agriculture, in the fields of social development,\u201d Netanyahu said.<br \/>\nNetanyahu\u2019s office also released a video showing him speaking to Abdullahi by telephone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want you to know that I am signing now as we speak Israel\u2019s official recognition of the Somaliland,\u201d Netanyahu tells Abdullahi, adding that the new relationship would offer economic opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very, very happy and I am very proud of this day and I want to wish you and the people of Somaliland the very, very best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu said the declaration \u201cis in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of [US] President [Donald] Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 2020 accords were brokered by Trump\u2019s first administration and included Israel formalizing diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, with other countries, including Morocco, joining later.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The agreement with Morocco was followed by Israel recognizing Rabat\u2019s sovereignty over the contested Western Sahara region.<\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu, Sa\u2019ar and Somaliland\u2019s president signed a joint declaration of mutual recognition, the Israeli statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullahi said in a separate statement that Somaliland would join the Abraham Accords, calling it a step toward regional and global peace. He said Somaliland was committed to building partnerships, boosting mutual prosperity and promoting stability across the Middle East and Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Netanyahu invited Abdullahi for an official visit to Israel. Abdullahi said he will come \u201cas soon as possible,\u201d according to the Israel statement.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Channel 12 reported that Abdullahi made a secret visit to Israel in October, meeting with Netanyahu, Mossad chief David Barnea and Defense Minister Israel Katz.<\/p>\n<p>The network said that ties between the two governments emerged as <strong>Israel searched for countries willing to take in Gazans<\/strong> it was looking to move out of the Strip during the war \u2014 an effort that seems to have failed due to overwhelming international backlash against the idea of displacing Gazans.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond a potential home for Gazans, a central Israeli motivation for deepening ties with Somaliland\u2019s is the latter region\u2019s <strong>proximity to Yemen<\/strong>.
