{"id":58438,"date":"2026-01-27T20:16:56","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T20:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/?p=58438"},"modified":"2026-01-27T20:16:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T20:16:56","slug":"pakistan-and-ghana-strengthen-ties-through-first-bilateral-political-consultations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-and-ghana-strengthen-ties-through-first-bilateral-political-consultations\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan and Ghana Strengthen Ties through First Bilateral Political Consultations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58440\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Pakistan-Ghana.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Pakistan-Ghana.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Pakistan-Ghana-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><strong>ISLAMABAD : Pakistan and Ghana convened the First Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) on 26 January 2026 in Ghana, marking an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pakistani delegation was led by Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary, while the Ghanaian side was headed by Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu, Chief Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>During the consultations, two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed: an MoU on Bilateral Political Consultations and an MoU between the Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad, and the Ghana Foreign Service Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation across a broad range of areas, including political, economic, defence, tourism, cultural, health, education, information technology, and other mutually beneficial sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides also agreed to hold the next round of the Bilateral Political Consultations in Islamabad next year.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan and Ghana have friendly, cooperative ties, spanning many decades.
