Earlier , she is leading the followers of Hazrat Ghaus ul Azam, Peer of Mohra Sharif, Ajmer Sharif and others from her Astana at Islamabad. A large number of people are seeking peace and guidance to the right path from her.<\/p>\n<p>Mahmut Ustaosmano\u011flu (1929 \u2013 23 June 2022), also known as Mahmud Effendi and known to his followers as &#8220;Effendi Hazretleri&#8221;, was a Turkish Sufi Sheikh and the leader of the influential \u0130smaila\u011fa Jamia of the Naqshbandi-Khalidiyya centered in \u00c7ar\u015famba, Istanbul.<\/p>\n<p>In 1952, Ustaosmano\u011flu met Ah\u0131skal\u0131 Ali Haydar Efendi (G\u00fcrb\u00fczler), a Naqshbandi sheikh who became his murshid. Ali Haydar Efendi appointed him as the imam of the \u0130smaila\u011fa Mosque in 1954. By the year 1960, Ustaosmano\u011flu&#8217;s life had its greatest turn after Ali Haydar Efendi&#8217;s demise and he became the leader of the path (tariqa). His son-in-law H\u0131z\u0131r Ali Murato\u011flu was murdered in 1998 and in 2006, a retired imam named Bayram Ali \u00d6zt\u00fcrk was murdered in the mosque and the man who stabbed him to death was lynched by the congregation.<\/p>\n<p>Ustaosmano\u011flu is known for having dialogues and relations with many politicians including Necmettin Erbakan, Abdullah G\u00fcl, Ahmet Davuto\u011flu, Muhsin Yaz\u0131c\u0131o\u011flu, Recai Kutan and many more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan was known to maintain close relations with Ustaosmano\u011flu. Erdo\u011fan paid a highly publicized visit to Ustaosmano\u011flu the night before the presidential election in 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Ustaosmano\u011flu was given the &#8220;Outstanding Service to Islam&#8221; award and the title of &#8220;Reformer of the 15th century&#8221; at the &#8220;International Symposium on Service to Humanity&#8221; organized in Istanbul by the Marifet Association, affiliated with the \u0130smaila\u011fa Community, of which he is the leader.<\/p>\n<p>Ustaosmano\u011flu died on 23 June 2022 after two weeks of hospitalization for an infection.
