A joint declaration was signed during the visit along with around 20 agreements and memorandums of understanding covering diverse areas of cooperation.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Particular attention was devoted to the strategic Trans-Afghan Railway project. An agreement was reached to complete the feasibility study by 2026 in cooperation with Pakistan\u2019s Ministry of Railways. This large-scale infrastructure initiative has the potential to reshape the transport and logistics landscape of Central and South Asia and provide Uzbekistan with access to the ports of Karachi, Qasim, and Gwadar \u2014 a development of strategic importance for the diversification of foreign trade.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Pakistani experts emphasized that the negotiations demonstrated a strong political will to institutionalize cooperation on a long-term basis. The first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council was held, a major business forum was organized \u2014 during which more than 50 agreements and memorandums were signed \u2014 and discussions covered regional security and the sustainable development of Afghanistan as a bridge of cooperation rather than a source of instability.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Both sides held extensive discussions to enhance bilateral trade and investment collaboration. The sides set a target of reaching $2 billion in bilateral trade in the coming years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Aloev said the visit would serve as a catalyst for strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations as well as advancing regional economic integration between the two countries. The visit marked the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral history and would lead to enhanced strategic cooperation and expanded economic prospects.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed optimism that trade between Pakistan and Uzbekistan would increase manifold. He termed President Mirziyoyev\u2019s visit a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional economic integration.<\/p>\n<p>He also underscored the importance of direct flights between the two countries, describing them as a vital step toward boosting trade, tourism and people-to-people exchanges under the Uzbek leadership\u2019s connectivity vision.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Head of Strategic Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal<\/strong> observed that Uzbekistan\u2019s leadership was playing a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting broader regional cooperation amid evolving geopolitical dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers shared highlighted the efforts of both governments to strengthen cooperation across various sectors. The visit would pave the way for enhanced regional economic connectivity and further boost bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>The participants commended Ambassador Tukhtaev for facilitating high-level exchanges and promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers unanimously termed the Uzbek president\u2019s visit a turning point in bilateral ties, expressing confidence that it would open new avenues of cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity and regional stability.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The \u201cMade in Uzbekistan\u201d industrial exhibition held in Islamabad also received high praise, offering entrepreneurs from both countries tangible opportunities to strengthen business ties and conclude agreements.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The symbolic significance of the visit was equally noteworthy: the President of Uzbekistan was awarded Pakistan\u2019s highest civilian honor, the \u201cNishan-i-Pakistan,\u201d conferred honorary academic titles of Professor and Doctor by the National University of Sciences and Technology, and the inauguration of \u201cTashkent\u201d Street and a park named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in Islamabad.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">These were not merely diplomatic gestures but powerful expressions of deep mutual respect and historical affinity between our peoples.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"td_btn td_btn_lg td_shadow_btn\" style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Editor Pakistan in the World, Mr. Tazeen Akhtar , sharing his views on the topic, said, the visit of President Mirziyoyev was not only beneficial for two countries but it will pave the way to accelerate the efforts to enhance meaningful cooperation between two regions of Central Asia South Asia and beyond to Eurasia as well.
