Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar, and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, along with Executive Director (NAVTTC), <strong>Dr. Nasir Khan<\/strong> and Vice Chancellor, Dr. Saima Hamid inaugurated the program at university.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister\u2019s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs, <strong>Usman Dar<\/strong> appreciated the steps taken by <strong>NAVTTC<\/strong> for improving the quality of TVET institutes in Pakistan. Usman Dar informed that government\u2019s prime objective is to equip youth with modern technological \u00a0and entrepreneurship skills.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Dar highlighted the importance of startups in creating jobs and economic activity, he added that through Kamyab Jawan programme, the government will utilize public private partnerships to create such opportunities to empower the youth.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst addressing to the audience, <strong>Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan<\/strong> said that Kamyab Jawan Program will provide opportunities for the youth to move forward by opening their small and medium enterprises.She said one hundred billion rupees have been allocated in the first phase of Kamyab Jawan Program.\u00a0She assured that all the loans under this program will be given on merit. She quoted that, it is the firm belief of the Prime Minister, Imran Khan that Pakistan will achieve progress and prosperity by promoting merit.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Firdous guaranteed that this program will be successful path of economical growth for Pakistani youth. According to her, the disbursement of loans under the program is a fulfillment of the promise made by the Prime Minister, Imran Khan with the youth. Government had taken a number of initiatives for empowering the youth, which comprises more than 60 percent of the country\u2019s population. Mr. Nasir elaborated about the mission of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is to change the skill profile of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in her welcome address Vice Chancellor, <strong>Dr. Saima Hamid<\/strong> shared her views on Kamyab Jawan Program and appreciated Government\u2019s initiative to encourage women participation in economic and political setup.\u00a0 She also talked about the four diploma courses running under this step and more than 100 students are enrolled in them.<\/p>\n<p>She stressed that investment in higher education of Pakistani women is need of the hour and crucial for the sustainable development of the country.
