Israel struck two schools in Iran, killing at least 108 kids at the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls\u2019 elementary school in the southern city of Minab, and two others at a school east of the capital, Tehran.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The daughter-in-law and son -in -law of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei<\/em>, were Martyred. Zahra Haddad-Adel was the wife of the son of Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s strikes on Iran targeted 24 provinces, killing at least 201 people, according to Iranian media reports, citing the Red Crescent.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The strike is part of a wave of joint US-Israeli military attacks across Iran that has triggered an outbreak of regional violence.<\/p>\n

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared a photo of the attack, which he said destroyed the girls\u2019 school and killed \u201cinnocent children\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese crimes against the Iranian People will not go unanswered,\u201d Araghchi wrote in a post on X.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei also slammed the \u201cblatant crime\u201d and urged action from the United Nations Security Council.<\/p>\n

Separately, Iran\u2019s Mehr news agency reported that at least two students were killed by another Israeli attack that hit a school east of the capital, Tehran.<\/p>\n

Reporting from Tehran, Al Jazeera\u2019s Mohammed Vall said the attacks call into question US and Israeli claims that \u201cthey are targeting only military targets and they are trying to punish the regime, not the people of Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump has promised the Iranian people that aid or help is coming their way, but now we are seeing civilian casualties; that\u2019s something that the Iranian government will stress as a case of violation of international law and an aggression against the Iranian people,\u201d said Vall.<\/p>\n

The last time the US and Iran waged attacks on Iran in June 2025, sparking the\u00a012-day war, the civilian toll in Iran was also heavy.<\/p>\n

According to Iran\u2019s Ministry of Health and Medical Education, thousands of civilians were killed or injured, and public infrastructure was damaged, during that conflict.<\/p>\n
