It has been learnt from the\u00a0 sources on both sides that direct peace negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad ended without any agreement after grinding on for more than 09 hours.<\/p>\n
American officials, including Vice President JD Vance, sat across from Iranian representatives – including top IRGC figures – while Pakistan pushed hard to mediate.<\/p>\n
The agenda covered security guarantees, economic issues, diplomacy, prisoner swaps, and keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for global oil flow.<\/p>\n
Iran balked at what it called America\u2019s \u201cmaximalist\u201d demands. No breakthroughs on the fragile ceasefire or nuclear concerns.<\/p>\n
Iranian sources shared that the excessive demands from US side impeded the progress in the talks.<\/p>\n
Both sides plan to resume talks on Sunday, but the lack of progress shows how tough it is to trust each other after failure to reach agreement on any of 10 points.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Iranian side stated their 5 redlines as 1- Lifting the Sanctions 2- Reparation of the Damages 3- Control at Hormuz 4- Release of Freezed Assets 5- End of Hostilities in the Region including Lebanon<\/p>\n
Preliminarily, US hinted at releasing the assets and Iran gave the passage to US ships that was seen as positive development for success of the talks but in the long run, the deadlock was created on the dictatorial demands of one side.<\/p>\n
