ANTALYA \/ Turkiye : 17 April 2026 – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan hosted the Third Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting of T\u00fcrkiye-Egypt-Pakistan-Saudi Arabia, on the margins of the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum ia to discuss coordinated responses to regional crises, including the US-Israel war on Iran.<\/p>\n
Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, says Egypt and Pakistan are working \u201cvery hard\u201d as mediators to bring about \u201ca final agreement between the United States and Iran\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope to do so in the coming days,\u201d Abdelatty said at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkiye, noting that \u201cnot only us in the region but the whole world is suffering from the continuation of this war\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pushing very hard in order to move forward,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He said Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia \u200bwere coordinating \u200ba broader regional effort focused \u200con \u2060preventing renewed escalation and laying the groundwork for a \u200bpost-war \u200bsecurity \u2060arrangement, stressing the importance of \u200bprotecting Gulf \u200bstates \u2060and stabilising energy markets, supply chains \u2060and \u200bfood security.<\/p>\n
The gathering comes as regional diplomacy continues to accelerate, with participating countries seeking coordinated approaches to a range of shared security and political challenges.<\/p>\n
They exchanged views on evolving regional dynamics, reaffirming the vital role of dialogue and diplomacy in promoting peace, stability, and shared prosperity.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Ministers expressed a shared commitment to advancing this partnership, deepening coordination and expanding collaboration across key areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n
The talks were focus on regional responses to regional problems, sources say with particular attention on tensions involving the US, Israel and Iran, under a framework of regional ownership and dialogue.<\/p>\n
The meeting follows a series of recent high-level diplomatic engagements among the same group of countries. On March 18 in Riyadh, foreign ministers convened to discuss recent regional developments and shifting geopolitical dynamics, bringing together T\u00fcrkiye, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n
Following the gathering, T\u00fcrkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt held a separate meeting on the sidelines of the main event.That gathering was seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen consultation mechanisms across the region.<\/p>\n
The four-way format was later revived in Islamabad on March 29, where T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s top diplomat Hakan Fidan and foreign ministers of the three other countries attended the second meeting. The last meeting in the same format was followed by a deputy-level meeting held in Islamabad on April 14.<\/p>\n
