\n\u200eOn 20 April ,Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker, where both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening Pakistan\u2013U.S. relations and the latest situation in the region. \u200eDuring the meeting, security arrangements for the second round of the Islamabad talks were also reviewed. The U.S. Ambassador appreciated Pakistan\u2019s sincere role in reducing tensions in the region.

\n\u200eInterior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Ambassador on the security measures put in place for the second round of the Islamabad talks. He stated that special security arrangements have been made for all distinguished guests and expressed hope and prayers for the success of the second round of talks.

\n\u200eDG FIA Dr. Usman Anwar, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon were also present on the occasion.\"\"

He also briefed the Ambassador about his recent visit to Iran.

\n\u200eInterior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that preparations for the second phase of the Islamabad talks have been completed and foolproof security arrangements have been made for foreign delegations. He added that Pakistan\u2013Iran relations span decades and are valued as brotherly ties.

\n\u200eMohsin Naqvi further stated that Pakistan advocates resolving the Iran\u2013U.S. conflict through dialogue, and that a lasting solution is essential for regional stability and peace.

\nOn 23 April , US Acting Ambassador called on Interior Minister at his office. The sides discussed the regional situation and the arrangements for second round in Islamabad. They had consensus upon diplomatic solution of the conflict. The sides appreciated each other for extension in ceasefire and holding of talks in Islamabad.<\/p>\n
