Astana\/ Kazakhstan : 23 April 2026 – <\/span>Heads of State have signed the documents on saving the Aral Sea and other related matters discussed during\u00a0 Regional Ecological Summit 2026 (RES 2026), taking place in Astana on 22\u201324 April 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As a result of the summit, the following documents were signed:<\/div>\n

1. Decision of the Heads of State \u2013 Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea \u201cOn the Progress of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea\u201d;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2. Decision of the Heads of State \u2013 Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea \u201cOn Declaring 26 March as the International Day of the Aral Sea, the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya Rivers\u201d;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3. Decision of the Heads of State \u2013 Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea \u201cOn the Election of the President of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea\u201d;<\/div>\n

The heads of state and foreign delegations jointly visited the International Exhibition of Green and Sustainable Technologies RES 2026 EXPO.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as other distinguished guests, were presented with the country pavilions of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, showcasing national priorities in green energy and natural resource management.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The exhibitions place emphasis on maintaining ecosystem sustainability, fostering cooperation in environmental protection, and promoting new approaches to addressing ecological challenges, including the restoration of the Aral Sea region.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Heads of State were also shown exhibits by private sector companies from the region, demonstrating industrial solutions in green energy, environmentally friendly development, and waste management.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The exhibition brings together more than 240 participants from 30 countries, along with a wide range of international partners. Over 120 pavilions are featured, highlighting advanced solutions in sustainable development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
A special place is occupied by the Investment Forum, which also serves as a platform for dialogue between government and business.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Within the framework of the exhibition, international meetings and expert discussions are being held to address pressing issues of sustainable development and environmental solutions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A \u201cgreen\u201d startup competition has been organized to support innovative projects and young entrepreneurs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
