Iranian delegation under leadership of Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi left Islamabad after their 24 hours stay and meetings with Prime Minister and Field Marshal Pakistan. Chief negotiator , Speaker of Iranian Parliament Mr. Qalibaf did not accompay the Foreign Minister in this visit. Iran made it clear before FM Aragchi’s arrival in Islamabad that it is international tour only and the visit is not in connection with second round of Islamabad Talks.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pakistan after a week long untiring efforts to convince Iran sit on the table again could not bear any result. US delegation did not even show up in the capital after understanding the hard stand of Iran. Pakistan finally opened the areas closed for 7 days for the security of probable second round of talks that could not take place.<\/div>\n

According to Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry spokesman, no meeting was scheduled between Tehran and Washington during Foreign Minister Araqchi\u2019s trip to Islamabad, as consultations focus on regional peace efforts.Iran made clear that any return to ceasefire negotiations depends on the lifting of the US naval blockade. Officials have argued that the continued blockade constitutes a violation of the truce.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

President Trump announced to send two members for second round but seeing the statements from Iran and having information from Pakistan, the two members Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were also stoped from travel. Here too, the head of team , Vice President JD Vance was not part of the team.<\/div>\n

As the refusal of talks with US is itself a shame for the super power , President Donald Trump tried to cover it saying, ” long travel time as a key reason for canceling special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner\u2019s scheduled trip to Pakistan for a second round of talks with the Iranians adding that negotiations will be handled over the phone.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not going to spend 15 hours in airplanes all the time going back and forth to be giving a document that was not good enough, and so we\u2019ll deal by telephone, and they can call us anytime they want,\u201d Trump said speaking to reporters outside Air Force One in Florida before before traveling back to Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

President Donald Trump said talks will continue by phone after Iran declined to meet directly with American negotiators. Trump said he\u2019s since received a new proposal from Tehran, offering \u201ca lot but not enough.\u201d He did not provide details.<\/strong><\/div>\n

FM Iran Seyyed Abbas Araqchi met with Army Chief Asim Munir and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif. In first meeting with FM Asim Munir in the day, DG ISI and Interior Minister Pakistan were also present. From Iran side Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghaddam and Spokesperson MOFA Iran also accompanied their Foreign Minister.<\/div>\n

Later , in meeting with PM of Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, DG ISI and Interior Minister were also presen.<\/div>\n

He briefed the Pakistani prime minister on Tehran\u2019s positions regarding the latest ceasefire developments in the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, while also discussing bilateral ties and regional issues.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the meeting, also attended by Pakistan\u2019s Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, and regional and international developments.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Iranian foreign minister also expressed appreciation for the efforts of senior Pakistani officials in working to end the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, as well as their role in facilitating a ceasefire and hosting negotiations.Araqchi outlined Iran\u2019s principled positions regarding the latest developments related to the ceasefire and the complete cessation of the imposed war.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He further referred to the continued crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the occupied Palestinian territories and its repeated violations of Lebanon\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while appreciating the stances of the Pakistani government and people in supporting the Palestinian nation and Islamabad\u2019s efforts to implement the ceasefire understanding in Lebanon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Pakistani prime minister highlighted the determination of the senior leadership of both countries to continue strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation at multilateral levels and within international organizations.Sharif also expressed confidence that this course would continue firmly in line with the shared interests of the two neighboring Muslim nations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Araqchi, for his part, pointed to the emphasis of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on expanding comprehensive ties with neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with His Excellency Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, this evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During their warm and cordial conversation that lasted fifty minutes, the two leaders had a detailed exchange of views on the current regional situation and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n

While sharing with the Iranian President an overview of his recent diplomatic outreach to a number of world leaders, the Prime Minister emphasized that these interactions had been helpful in building broader consensus in support of sustained dialogue and diplomacy aimed at achieving lasting peace in the war-affected region.<\/p>\n

While reassuring the Iranian President of Pakistan’s firm commitment to regional peace, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan would continue its sincere and honest endeavours to promote regional peace and security.<\/p>\n

President Pezeshkian thanked the Prime Minister, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their significant contribution to the peace efforts. While expressing Iran’s desire for peace, he also expressed confidence that the fraternal ties between Iran and Pakistan would continue to strengthen and expand in the future.<\/p>\n

Iran’s stance about mistrust for US proved right because the ceasefire in Israel Lebanon was torn apart by Israel with strikes on Lebanon. President Trump only a week ago proudly announced ceasefire having officials from both countries in his office and boasted only couple of days ago that the Prime Minister Israel and President Lebanon will soon be his guests at White House but the developments on the ground are 180 degree different.<\/strong><\/p>\n
