Venerable Polpithimukalane Pannasiri Thero traveled from Sri Lanka to participate in the ceremony, underscoring the country\u2019s enduring spiritual and historical ties with Taxila, one of the foremost centers of Buddhist heritage associated with Emperor Ashoka. Venerable Phra Anil Sakya Thero also attended from Thailand, further enhancing the importance of the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The main event was held at the Taxila Museum in the form of a conference, organized with the support of the Punjab Archaeology Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
