He is in Tehran at a time when his confident right hand Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is already there and US side has responded to new proposals of Iran but stated the response is final.<\/p>\n<p>General Asim Munir is looking forward to meet the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Mojtaba Khamenei in this tour to convince him on the new draft of US to reach some point where the stand off in the Middle East could be brought to end to ease the region and the world.<\/p>\n<p>This marks his second urgent diplomatic mission to the Iranian capital in just over a month as Islamabad intensifies its role as the primary mediator attempting to permanently end the regional West Asia conflict. Munir&#8217;s sudden flight follows a three-day continuous diplomatic marathon in Tehran led by Pakistan&#8217;s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who has been engaging directly with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and President Masoud Pezeshkian.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"lead text-justify\"><strong>Pakistan\u2019s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held another meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Friday to discuss proposals aimed at resolving disputes between Tehran and Washington.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<div class=\"story\" data-readmoretitle=\"Read more\">\n<p>Naqvi held another round of talks with Araqchi in Tehran on May 22 as part of consultations on efforts to ease tensions and advance diplomatic solutions, the Pakistani Embassy in Iran announced.<\/p>\n<p>The visit marks the second trip by Pakistan\u2019s interior minister to Tehran in less than a week. Naqvi traveled to Tehran on Wednesday for meetings with Iranian officials and has held consultations with several senior Iranian figures, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Interior Minister Eskandar Mo\u2019meni, and other officials.<\/p>\n<p>His visit focused on the expansion of bilateral economic and scientific cooperation, the promotion of regional stability through Islamic unity, and Pakistan\u2019s ongoing role as a mediator in negotiations between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The consultations came against the backdrop of recent military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian officials have emphasized that regional security can only be achieved through the withdrawal of external powers and the strengthening of ties among neighboring Islamic states.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s role was described as pivotal, with Tehran appreciating Islamabad\u2019s \u201csincere and committed efforts\u201d to reduce tensions and facilitate dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Reports also indicate that Chief of the Army Staff of the Pakistan Army Field Marshal Asim Munir is expected to travel to Tehran as part of mediation efforts between Iran and the US.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>A Qatari negotiating team also arrived in Tehran on Friday in coordination with the United States to help secure a deal to end the war with Iran and resolve outstanding issues, a source with knowledge of the matter told\u00a0<i>Reuters<\/i>\u00a0on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that they would all love to see an agreement with Iran but added that they are &#8220;not there yet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There needs to be a plan B if Iran refuses to reopen the Strait of Hormuz,&#8221; Rubio added and noted that there was no concrete ask of Nato help on the strait.<\/p>\n<p>Rubio noted some progress on Thursday: \u201cThere&#8217;s some good signs,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want to be overly optimistic &#8230; So, let&#8217;s see what happens over the next few days.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Asked on Friday about the Qatari team in Iran, Rubio told reporters on the sidelines of a gathering of Nato foreign ministers in Sweden that Pakistan was the primary interlocutor in the Iran talks and they had done an &#8220;admirable job&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He added: &#8220;Obviously, other countries have interests, because especially Gulf countries that are, you know, in the middle of all this \u2014 they have their own situation going. And we talk to all of them.
