U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported carrying out strikes on sites in Iran following Tehran\u2019s attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz area.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In a statement published on the social media platform X, CENTCOM said that U.S. aircraft struck storage sites for Iranian missiles and drones, as well as coastal radar stations. According to the command, these actions were a response to the attack on the vessel M\/V Ever Lovely, which was hit by a one-way drone on June 25.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

CENTCOM said that Iran\u2019s attacks on civilian shipping constitute \u201cunprovoked aggression\u201d and violate the ceasefire, while also undermining freedom of navigation along one of the world\u2019s key international trade routes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It was also noted that U.S. forces continue to coordinate the safe passage of commercial vessels through the strait and maintain a military presence in the region to monitor compliance with the agreements.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a renewed US violation of the memorandum of understanding ending the war, following airstrikes on monitoring facilities along Iran\u2019s southern coast.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the air strikes carried out by the “terrorist army” of the United States in the early hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, against several monitoring and surveillance facilities on the southern coasts of the country,\u201d the ministry said in a statement.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThese savage attacks, which constitute a clear violation of paragraph 4 of Article 2 of the Charter of the United Nations as well as an explicit violation of paragraph one of the memorandum of understanding ending the imposed war dated June 18, 2026, show that the US regime assigns the least value and credibility to its commitments and that breach of commitments is part of the nature of this regime,\u201d the statement said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday evening to discuss bilateral relations and the latest diplomatic developments.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the call, Araqchi thanked the government and people of Pakistan for hosting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his accompanying delegation during the president\u2019s recent visit to Islamabad. He also expressed hope that the understandings and agreements reached during the trip would be seriously pursued and implemented at various levels.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
