Following the success of the inaugural ISC in Islamabad, the Government of Cambodia will now host the second edition, with the Islamabad Conference serving as the role model for its organization and substance.<\/span><\/div>\n

During the meeting, Ms. Khar highlighted the critical importance of peace in today\u2019s interconnected world. She underscored Pakistan\u2019s pivotal role in promoting de-escalation amid the recent US-Iran tensions, noting that parliamentary diplomacy can serve as a vital channel for dialogue during global crises. She further stressed the need to promote peace and stability in light of the current global economic challenges, and emphasized the value of forums like the ISC in fostering mutual understanding and collective action among nations.<\/span><\/div>\n

The consultations also focused on the roadmap for the upcoming conference and the future direction of the ISC. Ms. Khar and Cambodian Senate leadership agreed on key priorities for preparations, with the objective of building on Islamabad\u2019s success to make the Cambodia Conference even more impactful.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Senate of Cambodia described the discussions as \u201cfruitful\u201d and reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the ISC Secretariat to ensure a successful second conference.\"\"<\/span><\/div>\n

Representing Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Founding Chairman of ISC, Ms. Khar conveyed his best wishes and appreciation to the Senate of Cambodia, the ISC Secretariat, and all participating delegates for their dedication to strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and international cooperation.<\/span><\/div>\n

The meeting was attended by senior members of the Senate and National Assembly of Cambodia, alongside the ISC delegation, representatives from UPF Asia Pacific, and delegates from Pakistan, Nepal, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and other partner organizations.<\/span><\/div>\n

The preparatory meeting brought together senior representatives from the Senate and National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, including H.E. Mr. Ngy Chanphal, H.E. Dr. Chhiv Yiseang, H.E. Mr. Suos Yara, H.E. Mr. Yos Phanita, H.E. Dr. Neang Phat, H.E. Mr. Lay Samkol, H.E. Mr. Kheng Sithikun, H.E. Mr. Ork Bora, H.E. Mr. Tuy Ry, H.E. Dr. Kuok Fidero, H.E. Mr. Ngoung Sokveng, H.E. Mr. Lim Hokseng, Mr. Koy Malayvireak, Mrs. Nem Tho and Mrs. Chea Malika.<\/span><\/div>\n
